For hope that we will do better next time, and that routs showed a little urgency after a spell left out which others like gomizzzz could do with. Plus we only got done 1-0 by a **** team that we would normally have done easily before this recent slump !
What would Dai say ? :bandit:

I think he's just not the type of player for the system monk uses! everyone knows his strength is his areal threat, yet we don't get our wingers flying down the flanks whipping crosses in for him. and when the ball gets cleared Shelvey and Siggy should be poaching outside the box taking shots. you know play to the strengths of the team! ****ing hell if monk was a carpenter he'd use a hammer to drill a hole!!!!!!!!

What make me worry the most is Monk doesn't think he has a bench , he's basically said it and it's obvious through his lack of picking them .
That leaves us with 10 players playing all the time and not playing very well in the big picture.
All I see is good players everywhere , best we've had minus Bony , but being mismanaged.

Fully agree with what's being said.

I look at our squad and see bags of quality - which is backed up by the level of international players we have. Our squad is being mismanaged - both off the field and on it. Low morale in the second string, low confidence in the first. It's a shambles. Monk either needs help/guidance (Director of Football?) or his P45.

Thing that perplexes me is that for this system to work we need wingbacks LWB/RWB to overlap allowing ayew or montero to get narrower. we have a great player who can fulfil this role (tabanou) yet he can't even get in the team. like WTF is going on, why did they even buy him?

I like Ayew but I'm afraid he is not the sort of player you will ever see flying down the wing. Unless we turn things around quickly the player's confidence is going to drop if it hasn't already and then we will really be in trouble. What' s worrying me is that 10 years of hard work is in danger of being wasted.

The only one of them that we are remotely likely to win is Bournemouth, although I have doubts about that. The way we are playing (or not playing) any one of the four following teams are likely to give us a good hammering.

As a few have already said Monk is on borrowed time. Those stats paint a very gloomy picture, one which needs to be rectified sooner rather than later. Will Monk get the heave-ho, I don`t know. There`ll be a pretty hefty pay-off if he does.

Do I want him to get the chop? At the moment without a doubt, he has very little, if any, tactical nous. Playing Gomis all the time has to be the biggest load of horse manure that we`ve seen for a very long time. If a player is not doing the job he`s (very well) paid for, get someone else in who might do the job better. I say might do the job better because we have no idea how well (or bad) Eder will do.

Give it a try Monkie, it might just work.
