out of the lads who have been linked I would like to see us sign Hulk but realistically Freddie Piquionne would be a good signing.

Ryan Babel would of been my choice, could of taken of Welbecks role in the summer when he leaves - a player who is just asgd on the wing as he is up top

I only know Hulk by reputation and know diddly squit about Jovanovich. I agree that Piquionne would be a useful signing, but still have me overly optimistic fingers crossed for Pavlyuchenko.

    Pavlyachenko or Rodallega for me.

Hulk would be a fantastic signing but not realistic.

Jovanovic or Babel neither both weren't good enough to get into a bad Liverpool team.

    Pavlyachenko

    Piquionne

    Rodallega

    In order of preference.

I keep mentioning Kevin Davies but no one seems convinced. He's big strong, can hold the ball up, great in the air what more could gyan and the attacking midfielders in our side want but were all entitled to our opinion

I have always rated Davies couple of England matches were crying out for his sort of forward play.

as long as it's not Milton Nunions or Lilian of the Lake I'll be happy.

Would take Davies or Fuller shortish-term; Pav ahead of Roddy longer term. Hulk looks like a Zaki - bit hot and cold...and nee chance on that kind of money? It's interesting looking at the castrol GTX site in that all the top European strikers are in Spain, outside of the premiership. Forlan anyone, as we beat old saggy chops to the deal, Uruguyan/Ghanain differences aside?

It will, of course (I hope), be someone we have nee idea about so we can can get even more excited about the rest of the season.

On that note, I bid thee good neet.

with old harry always on the hunt for most of the worlds players (probably the only club to be linked with as many players as us), and his obsession with strikers, i would love for him to let us have defoe, with gyans work rate and defoes box play, i think it would be an ideal partnership, (mind i still think gyan and bent would have come good). although highly unlikely to let him go now, saggy chops may just go and buy half a dozen strikers, then realise hes got to many. plus never say never, look what happened last week with db

The pick of all the rumours for me has to be Pavlyachenko. The guy had just found his shooting boots when 'Arry signed RVDV, who has openly admitted on 5 Live that he prefers to play alongside Peter Crouch. That's the reason why Pavlyachenko has become unsettled at Spurs and is looking to move to a team that will play him. I think Pav would jump at the chance to play for us if SB shows an interest.

I still believe that SB has his eye on someone based abroad that he can bring in on loan. As I've said in another thread, I think it may be a player that has played in the EPL such as Ruud van Nostrelroy, sadly, no chance of getting him!

Any thoughts on former EPL forwards that are now plying their trade abroad that we could realistically sign?
