well done to all concerned. Far more professional performances in last two games and table looking a lot better
Exactly..... Now stop giving me pelters just because I enjoy the good days more than you. Just need Cellino to say he can take us up and is staying to ruin a good weekend....
Eire do you really think we showed a professional performance today? We scored three very well worked goals but Wootton should have been off and apart from the goals I thought we were pretty poor today. It might just be a confidence thing but Murphy, Mowatt (apart from his goal) Wootton, Bamba and Bellusci all had below par games, well I thought they did. I couldn't understand why Wootton was left on, he became an observer when Huddersfield attacked.
Agree Wootton should have been off. Should never start, he's awful. Well taken goals though and whether we stifled Huddersfield and made them look poor or they are just poor I'm not sure. To be fair, there's probably a dozen teams in the middle of that table and there's barely a kick of a ball between the lot of them. That extra bit of passion Evans may bring might just make the difference and get a top ten finish
Those that understand will see we have won two on the trot. They will also remember our purple patch last year. The cleverest will then know who apart from armchair fan was absent for both!
I haven't seen enough to convince me things are better under Evans than Rosler. Don't get me wrong, I am more than pleased with 6 points this week, back to back wins, 4 goals and two clean sheets, it sounds fantastic actually but I question if it glosses over the fact that the last two games we have had 6 shots on target and the opposition have had in excess of 60% possession in both games. They both pick Wootton, they both play players out of position, I hope results continue to go our way and I will enjoy the fact we have pulled away from the bottom.
Great result , not a great performance but confidence seems to be improving. I thought Silvestri looked like a decent goalkeeper. We will not become a good team overnight but the last two games are showing more promise.
Why does everyone think Wootton should have been sent off? That was a playground foul. The lad he took out had just pushed Cook with both hands in the middle of his back to make him miss a header and win possession in the first place (if you don't believe me just watch). Should have been a free kick to Leeds (and the ref could have saved himself a whole load of hassle if he had just given it). Wootton just decided the foul and restart option used by 9 year olds up and down the country was best. Funny old game. I was effing and jeffing about how rubbish both teams were to my twelve year old when he asked if I wanted a cappuccino from our new tissimo. By the time he came back with it we had scored twice and things were dandy again. Honest opinion, thought the botherers were slightly the better side throughout BUT if you were a Town fan would you actually feel hard done by? If so, can't see why. In truth I was quite bored but never really uneasy throughout that - just somehow always looked like we had more in reserve. Think we have a lot of ok championship players and some lucky to be playing at that level (Bellusci simply must laugh every pay check when he realises he has got away with it for another month - I am 47 and don't think I am deluded to think I am better than him. Genuinely one I the worst "players" I have ever seen). Season is over now so can only be optimistic about potential buyout and what next. Good enough, especially with Evans in charge, and fair play to him for that, to be comfortably safe but also a country mile off the top six. If someone could just sell me a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory pass to championship football next year and nine months of not caring I would buy it now! Almost sad but definitely true.
The ref should have booked one of their players for a foul, but just gave him a warning, IMO Wooten should of had the same with his first foul..
Sunday's my chill out do feck all day. Will prob watch some bits of pl rubbish. Son in law got ticket for Bosnia game next Monday so I've been trying to pick one up online. Damn things are expensive
Fair play Eire regarding tickets ...I stopped going to the games when the corperate feckers jumped on the Charlton bandwagon and I couldn't get a ticket .
Haven't been too often over past decade either. Entertainment value in internationals isn't great most of the time. I have a handy lift to game which is tempting if I can get a ticket
