After weathering that early storm, Hull were terrific, attacking with power and purpose and causing Boro no end of problems in the second half. Mo Diame was a constant thorn in Boro's side, his power and directness proving problematic while the two wingers beat Boro's full-backs hands down. At the end of the game Bruce said whoever finishes above Boro will give themselves a very good chance of promotion. The same can be said of Hull.
