All Sunderland did was defend. They had no interest at all in attacking. It's like they played for a draw. It's too ****ing cold up here as well!
Pellè edges those 3 for me. Took a kicking all day long and made countless chances for others. Set an example with his possession football at the end as well. Very unlucky to get a yellow.
It's a nice colour combination, the green of the New Forest, the blue [?] water of the Solent, but err... no.
Great result and performance, the period of pressure leading to the goal was excellent. VVD is very impressive (although giving the ball away like that at the end was silly).
Actually, I did forget about Graziano. I almost deliberately did so because he's there or thereabouts in every match these days. Just thought I'd chose from one of the less exalted positions. You're right though, he put in another superb shift.
Good performance by everyone (Pelle or Ryan motm for me) and its fantastic to finally break that woeful streak at the SoL. During the game was anyone else struck by touch of sympathy for the sunderland fans? Imagine having to work up the enthusiasm to support and pay money to watch that awful team every week..
I'll have you know that some of the best engineering comes out of Italy, especially in the automotive industry. Fiat engines, for example, are like little pearls in beauty.
BS was very unhappy with the collapse v Everton...a draw against us (with perhaps a lucky goal for a win) would be a triumph. Sunderland would never outplay us if they tried to take us on.
Just in case you didn't notice Fran, I put up a post saying that I got slightly nervous during this match, but it could have been indigestion. It disappeared shortly after we scored. But I did get slightly fidgety, so it does actually happen to me.
