Rooney is doing nothing. There would be no shame in taking him off now. Game is crying out for Herrera now that WBA are coming out.
That's the great thing with LVG, he will always give youth a go. Lingard repaid that faith once again. Hope we can get another and see one of the other young lads get a run too.
I think this is where other teams would put WBA to the sword... but we just don't have that purpose or guile. Take Rooney off for fcks sake
Tbf that's never been the case this season. 3 away goals they have conceded. Genuinely think they are happy to draw 0-0 or take a 1-0 loss. I mean they have kind of pushed out a little but they are not chasing the game. They're playing as defensively as any side you will see and they are a goal down.
If LVG doesn't take Rooney off he's a tw@t. He's now giving the ball away and becoming a liability. Bring on Herrera and we kill two birds with 2 stones and take the game to them.
Who have they played though? I'm talking about the difference between us and the top teams. They would be building on the lead the way WBA are venturing out now. The sharpness of our counter-attack has been poor.

WBA aren't great mate. The hard part was certainly getting that first goal. But after that, we should have created far more considering..
Herrera comes on. First 4 passes are all back. Obvious to see what instructions he was given. Looks like we're settling for the 1-0 then
I still think our back four are a bit weak, but this system means 5th clean sheet in a row, only conceded 1 Premiership goal at home all season, meanest defence in the league! IMHO they went too defensive for a few games, but getting the balance better now.
