    Here's hoping for 3 points - but expecting a draw. <cheers>

However, our record against Norwich away is poor....

Norwich have only lost once against Swansea in their last 15 league and cup meetings at Carrow Road dating back to 1948 (W11, D3). That was a 3-2 defeat in the Championship in 2008.

Trying to be confident going for 2-0 to the Swans and that we look secure at the back, the midfield doesn't give the ball away and Bafi stays onside. Got to keep ones pecker up as its chucking it down in Home Counties North this morning!

1915 here so I think 1115 your time. Is it worth me staying up at watching the same old? Yes, for this match because if we lose this I hope Monk is out. Sorry Monk lovers but he had me for a while but has lost me totally. I read Dais comment re resting Fab, Ash, Gomis, ooooops how about paying me their money and I can play week in week out, ffs they are supposedly professionals so let the fkers earn their huge paycheques. sorry for the rant

Well hopefully his trust is rewarded today

Garry Monk says that he has great faith in Bafetimbi Gomis as the striker this afternoon lines up against Norwich looking for the goal that will end a drought that has stretched back to August.
Gomis last goal came against Manchester United on August 30 and he is looking every bit the player out of form as shown last weekend when he missed a gilt edged chance against Arsenal at the Liberty.
Gomis started the season on sparkling form with four goals in four games which made him one of the form players at that point in time but since then he has failed to find the net and the main stat used when talking about him at the moment is one that he has been called offside far more than anyone else in the Premier League this season.
There have been calls from sections of the support for Gomis to be dropped and replaced by Eder but it does look like Monk will keep faith with his underfire striker this afternoon as we go in search of a second successive win on the road to take us into the next international break of the season.
“Of course you want your strikers and all your players to score,” said Monk. “But it’s a collective and I have great confidence in Bafe.
“I think the team needs to play better as a whole to create more chances. Bafe works very hard and, like the whole team, is working hard to try and get a run of results.”

I think he just heard the news that Penclawdd Community council have allocated one of his properties free of charge to a family from Romania, all 15 of them .

The rest will do him good and he will come back sharper and more relaxed in front of goal / keyboard . He is funny though and gets a few of you going which is entertaining sometimes but can't you see he just goes opposite of public opinion with most things on here probably coz he likes the drama ! I used to think he was a cardiff wummer less so these days , but he's made himself a target so many times on here he must like it and I'm sure some of you do too? :emoticon-0131-angel Is a 2 week ban a bit harsh ?

Swans lose gomis is crap again = monk out !
Swans win gomis and Co crap again = monk out next week instead ! <laugh>

He's harmless and to be honest that's the worst reaction I think he's ever displayed and that's good, for over the years there's been plenty of opportunities for him to explode as he did .
Not for me to say whether 2 weeks is harsh , I trust the mods to do their job which imo they do .

if you going to have a dip in form then now is the time whilst there's still games to play .We're atm the only club to have a fully fit squad so he's not really had to make forced changes .some may think that could be good or not we'll have to after today because he's had enough time to know who his best starting 11 are and if we still don't perform then he's got to ring the changes , forced or not .

That staggers me, can our manager not see that selecting a player who is completely out of form and couldn't score in a brothel, maybe just bringing the teams performances down. He mentioned we need to work harder to create chances, well they are doing this now and the clown is missing guilt edged chances. I am really concerned by GM's comments here and continued selection of Gomis may well be his down fall and maybe shows his total naivety and lack of any other options when it comes to management.

What has this guy have over gm for him to risk his job for him.

Has Gomis got it in him to raise his game and confidence ? a few goals could transform him into a good consistent striker for us ! he used to know how to bang them in a short while back, but has he been found out as a one hit wonder or is it more to do with the service and play of the rest of the squad ? which is more worrying than a striker shooting blanks ! The buck should stop with Monk and to some extent those that appointed him for maybe money saving reasons which im not so sure about as we`re loaded compared to any time in our history, maybe they think they have the Midas touch because of the luck with previous managers and player signings ?

Now is the worst time for it all to go Pete Tong ! the pot of gold available next season is to precious in this cut throat league to risk losing ! So as said its early enough to try something different on the field to find a combination that works because if you keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results , that`s madness ! I hope it starts today but that would take a stubborn Monk to admit his tactics are wrong !

So a brace for Gomis and goals from all over the half from a few of our other players like they used to do is the direction Monk needs to produce pronto from here on in ! or a long hard fought slog to safety at least ? some new blood may help on the way to fix the mess ?

If we win we move to mid-table.
If we draw we will be plodding along (but a draw at Norwich would be a good result IMO).
If we lose we are likely to only move down 1 place.....the Bournemouth v Newcastle game (12.45 KO) will be important to us if we lose as it holds the key to how many points we will be above the relegation zone.

If you recall he did the same with Dyer last season , when Dyer was struggling he kept picking him ,maybe Monk's philosophy is to see whether a player can play himself back into form , it didn't work with Dyer as we know. The trouble is ,is Gomis bringing the rest of the team down ? imo yes it is . Montero seems to have given up trying to find him in the box recently .What opportunities we have created have come from the right hand side or through the middle

A draw would be a decent result considering our record there .Norwich look shaky at the back and with not exactly banging them in . so a tight game imo

Gomis could very well run out and have his best game , he has that kind of potential.
I think Monk thinks that also and is why he's playing him during Gomis's barren run , and why he will probably play him today and into the future..
My biggest problem with. Monk is he's our " Manager " and so being his job description is to "Manage " the players.
As it sits , he's managing 10 players game in and game out. It's wrong on many levels ,from team morale to injury concerns to complacency , nobody's hungry knowing they will be picked game after game.
If we have an unchanged side today it will be a sign to me that Monk is putting himself ahead of the club because he's desperate for points , if we get at least 2 changes then he's starting to "Manage " the players for the sake of the club.
P.S.I too think it was a bit harsh on daiswan , granted he does it to himself. When a person says outlandish things , people are going to say..hey , your saying outlandish things , it's human behaviour.
Where he says it's his opinion , I see , on occasion , premeditated inciiting under the cover of rights.
4-1 Swans today , were due and I'm a law of average guy.

    75/1 for that score.
Now you've done it I'll have to have a dabble on that.
