If we're not bringing much else in then what's the shout for the left wing this coming season?

    Devitt? Brady? Barmby?

Nobody seems like an ideal fit. We need another Stewart for the left... and preferably another one to cover!

For me I'd probably go with Barmby starting as often as possible with Devitt covering... or maybe vice versa, with Brady covering Stewart as necessary on the right.

We haven't had a left wing for a full season really and seeing how Stewart helped turn our fortunes around supported by Rosenior down the right, we could do with a similar set-up on the left to give us the option of mixing things up and getting at opponents.

We don't seem to get the best out of barmby when he starts, with his age, he's best for the supersub role. Was Brady not brought in as cover for Stewart while he's out?

Awesome, I didn't realise Brady was a lefty. This has made my day.

So providing Brady cuts the mustard and Stewart isn't out for an eternity, we can assume they're our main wingers for the season (or Brady until Xmas at least).

Who covers? Barmby on the right Devitt on the left?

As far as I've gathered, Koren likes to play inside, but NP keeps playing him on the wing...

Brady has been brought in to play left wing, when Stewart returns they'll probably play together, at least until December(probably all season if things go well).

I don't think Barmby will start another game, it will just be 10-15 minute cameos now.

judging by Rick Skelton's Twitter updates, I can confidently predict Brady will be starting LW vs Blackpool, it's been all Brady so far.. oh and now he has an assist..

It'll be Koren on the right with Rosenior providing the pace/width, and Brady on the left with either Dawson providing a normal left back or Dudgeon providing a more end to end option.

Depending how Brady does we'll then have Koren on the right with Stewart on the left (same fullback options) and Brady providing cover/the option for 2 out and out wingers. I only really see us playing two wingers if Rosenior/Koren or Fryatt get injured. Then I can see us going for Brady and Stewart wide with Koren playing behind Adebola (Fryatt injured) in a 451, or (Rosenior injured) McShane at right back, Koren dropped for the extra winger for the pace and then Adebola and Fryatt up front. There's no point having the two wingers unless we've got somebody up front who can win the ball in the air either from their crosses to 'shoot' or knock down to Koren, or to win the headers from our goal kicks and knock the ball down behind their defence for the wingers (or other striker if there is one) to run onto.

From what some manu lads say, Brady is as good as Campbell... easy.

Is there any possibility that NP will consider playing a 4-3-3 on a regular basis or do you think he has abandoned that plan?

I would hope he has no intention of it. It would either be:

Simpson, Fryatt, and McLean narrow upfront for a 433, in which case why have Brady and Stewart?

Or a 451 with wingers out wide, in which case Adebola will be leading the line on his own because Fryatt on his own isn't big enough and strong enough to do it in this division. Although you might get Koren slotted into a free role working off Adebola I don't see the point of doing it whilst Fryatt is available.

So with no Bullard we have:

    ................Gulacsi

    Rosenior Hobbs Chester Dudgeon

    ......McKenna Koren Evans

    Simpson........Fryatt ......... Brady

    :afro:

    ???????

Do we need to get another Man Utd player in as a playmaker?

That team looks class on paper. However I think McKenna will play a more defensive role, allowing Evans to be box to box, and Koren to provide the ability and threat. Think Evans and Cairney will be rotated round a lot.
We still have a few more loan deals available also. Wouldn't be suprised if we didn't get a least one more?

Based on the reports from last night, it looks like Brady might be the first name on the team sheet.

seems that way OLM. if the only slight negative was that he is very one footed i can live with that. dont remember giggs taking too many touches with his right peg when he scored that screamer against arsenal. he sounded just as the reports and opinions indicated. direct, pacey, tricky, aggressive and no fear.

full backs beware when stewart is back in the mix in october. that noise you can hear is matty fryatt licking his lips!
