You are just overtly negative. If we had Lionel Messi playing for us you would still be moaning. Really in terms of consistantly high performance levels. Very few midfielders are more deserving of the 'World Class' tag than Carzorla. Good article from back in 2012. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2012/oct/26/arsenal-santi-cazorla-spain
Course you do. Even if you are a coach, what does that have to do with knowing a world class footballing talent? Absolutely nothing. Wanting to think you do because you do that job doesn't mean you actually do... Subjective. I don't think he is for example. Having 'efficency'? And 'ease of movement'? Meaningless twaddle you might hear if David Brent was a football manager. And Ramsay needed that run for what? To have a six month purple patch three seasons ago? Or is he also a world class player at the moment too? Or maybe is Ramsay just a good quality premier league player maybe? Basically... You have no semblance of evidence that Wilshere is a world class player and using flimsy arguments that someone else who plays in the same team as him had a singer six month purple patch a few years ago after a run of a season or two. Ps. I'm a premier league manager and Eboue was the best finisher the league has ever seen.
The possibility that YOU may be overrating him is completely out of the realm of possibility though yeah? Cazorla is a very good footballer. World class though? Only if your definition of world class is very forgiving and includes a lot of footballers. Would he get in a 23 man squad if you had to assemble a squad for the world cup and could pick whoever you wanted from anu country? Clearly not.
Load of ****. I like Cazorla as much as the next Gooner, but I am also objective. For me world class means the very elite footballers. a clown like you just uses that world in every other comment. Cazorla has never quite reached that sort of level. In the CM, he has bossed it in the PL, but in Europe he has been poor in that position. Last year against Monaco he got found out big time, infact it's more than a coincidence that since Cazorla has started to play in that deeper position, our results in Europe have got worse and we have been a lot more vulnerable on the counter. For me players likes Kroos,Modric,Raktic, Alonso,Vidal,Busquets and Thiago are world class in that deep lying midfield position, Cazorla is a level below.
No of course not. But it's no surprise the guy who is negative about virtually EVERYTHING on here doesn't rate him.
You have actual evidence to back that up? Oh and where the **** did I say I did not 'rate him'? I love Santi Cazorla as a footballer, but no, for me he is not world class, one reason I refuse to call him world class is simply because he has never done it in the CL, the most elite competiton in the club game. In fact maybe I am wrong, but Cazorla has not even scored a single goal for us in the CL yet. How the **** is he meant to be world class when he does not deliver when we meet the elite clubs in Europe? That's the stage where the true world class players show up.
I would take Santi over almost all of those midfielders you listed. In fact if you look at chances created, passing accuracy, key passes etc.. I guarantee Santi outperforms most of the TOP midfielders in Europe. ALSO: http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/03/arsen...-europe-by-cies-football-observatory-5478910/
I do not need some pointless stats to tell me anything, even reading that article they do not even explain anything. What has Cazorla done to get 100? I watch football with my eyes and can see that Cazorla has simply not delivered when it matters in the truly elite competition. Can you name a performance from Cazorla in Europe where he has bossed a team? If he is world class, then he would have bossed it on that sort of level, the players I mentioned have delivered performances at that very high level.
In fact doing some research about those stats the Bear posted, I came across this post by PNP. He puts it better than I could.
