How will Liverpool get past the FFA?
They cant have that much £££ in the bank, (via income)
They dont have a big stadium so lack income, they dont have Europe so lack income, they are a mid table team so lack income from the Prem league.

So all in all, they need to sell to survive the FFA, for when (if) the get back into europe)

They'll be top 4 next year.

Liverpool would of faired much better if they signed 'King Kenny' from the start of the season, and with the signings the manager has made, the club is only going to advance again.

EDIT - I think they could challenge for the title, if they don't have the start they had under Hodgson.

    Arsenal/Man City.

Tevez was the best player for making an impact at a club in the PL. He carried Man City some games. No matter who replaces him, it would take time to get used to the role of carrying a CL team.

    Arsenal... well..

Narsi was one of the most important players in that first half of the season when they were doing mint. He is supposed to be going now.

    That's your solution to everything...

I dunno, Dalglish wouldn't be the first manager to have a storming first season / part of season only to flop the next year. There's a long list of managers who were brought in to save a club from relegation, succeeded in their first season and then plummeted like a stone in their second. And a similar list of managers who achieved great things in their first season only to fall away in later years (Ancelotti and Vialli at Chelsea, Gullit at Newcastle, Benitez at Liverpool etc). It's always hard to judge a manager's pedigree and long term potential for success after their first season, much like players.

Good point Swarbs. However, It's not his first season and his record as manager at Liverpool is excellent. I know he has been away from management (although still been involved in football) for a while but clearly his aura and respect within the club has and will always be clear to see.

I'm not saying next season will be straight forward, but i seriously find it difficult to pick out any reasons why the management team of Dalglish and Clarke, along with the new owners and current squad wont offer a huge amount of optimism to all involved in the club.

Put it this way, as a Liverpool fan i haven't felt this good since probably the 90's!

Those are all good arguments, but then football has a way of throwing a spanner in the most well constructed plans and derailing the most optimistic supporters. Still, whatever happens it's gonna be an interesting season! <ok>

Yeah very true, and i fully expect a few spanners. Hopefully, we'll have the answers to cope this time round unlike previous years!
