It's Meyler joining Bruce in the hot seat this morning. please log in to view this image Injury news for #hcafc Alex Bruce struggling, Curtis Davies out so Harry Maguire likely to start v Boro. Bruce on Karanka: 'He nicked my number 2 (Steve Agnew) last year so he owes me one. Middlesbrough deserve success.' 'Don't take it for granted that both we and Middlesbrough will be promoted. We have to stay focused'. Bruce says Snodgrass will play in behind closed doors game next week. Been out 15 months.
Not really team news but in the last 10 games M'boro have taken most of their points from teams in the bottom half of the table. The 2 top half teams they've played, Cardiff and Reading, they've lost to. A good sign?
Middlesbrough boss: Hull City are a Premier League club in the wrong division... http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/spo...-league-club-in-the-wrong-division-1-7555654?
The Tigers will be without centre backs Alex Bruce and Curtis Davies for Saturday’s home game against Middlesbrough. Bruce is struggling with the hamstring injury that forced him off during the first half of Tuesday night’s win at Brentford, while Davies has been out of action since picking up a calf problem against Ipswich last month. It all means that Harry Maguire is likely to make his first league start for the Club. Robert Snodgrass remains unavailable as he closes in on a return from a 15-month lay-off, although he is set for a playing return during the international break. Sone Aluko and Adama Diomande are also still out of action. Middlesbrough have no injury concerns ahead of the trip to the KC Stadium, with manager Aitor Karanka having a fully fit squad to choose from. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...brough-clash-2787366.aspx#VqCFy7mXpVHzvVKZ.99
It worries me that we are having to play Maguire - our 4th choice centre back - in such a big game. Let's hope he proves me totally wrong & plays a blinder!
He's a good player, played quite a few games for Wigan last year and got a few man of the match awards...
I agree 100% with the Middlesboro boss. But now Hull City have to show it on the pitch. Time to ramp it up a few notches. Same team as Tuesday IMO, with Harry Maguire starting for Alex Bruce.(as it should have been @ Brentford) Hull City to win. Get in UTT.
It's just his lack of pace that concerns me - to be beaten for pace by Huddlestone of all people at Wembley is something I cannot get out of my mind!
The journalists keep talking about the pressure of being top. There's a lot less pressure than having to gain the points to get top!
