He may well be the best, but he doesn't have to say it himself. Along with best footballer he's also the worlds biggest bellend

Just wait 'til he gets that little sh*t Messi in a headlock. There will be no doubt who's the best then.

    And who cuts Messi's hair?

    No contest

Any successful person has to believe they're the best.

Maybe he's not the best of all time but for me he's in the top 2.

And there I was thinking that RDBD had just come home from a particularly excellent 5-a-side game game with his mates. Got me all nostalgic for that high that comes during/after a particularly effective performance of running around and getting in the way (my version of playing football).

No, thought I'd similarly indulge in a bit of Goon 606 FACTitus (where the mere statement of something
means it is immediately and irrefutably true) .

BTW lenny, better power up your Z-scores spreadsheet.
Pochettino is 8 games away from a comparison with AVB. :)

Portugal otherwise known as Egoland although they did produce Eusebio one of the better human beings in world football.

Eusebio was born and raised in Mozambique and didn't move to Portugal until he was 18.

The worst thing about the Ronaldos isn’t that they’ve turned all the good fortune in the world into a laughable cult of themselves--it’s that all the Ronaldos of the world seem to be one very dull, rather unhappy person nothing will please very much or for very long.

    Cheers me up no end!

I would hope if I had that level of success I’d be getting a ten dollar haircut like Messi.

I really liked the Portugese I met. They seemed to have an almost medieval dignity and other old-fashioned virtues, like loyalty. But I think those are qualities which are wonderful if your place in the world is low or middling, but will turn into arrogance past a certain point of success.

Nah. AVB and his fans had something to gain by attempting comparisons of his and Harry's records. I don't think anyone will be trying to measure Poch's success or otherwise by comparing with AVB.

Unless it all really does go horrendously wrong in the next six months.

I look forward to the eventuality of Poch's reign being long enough to make meaningful comparisons with Harry's though - I hope that the probability of that happening is quite high.
