They only reason they're mixed at World Cup's, is because many of the tickets allocated to locals end up in the hands of fans of one of the two teams playing. The tickets are allocated with a percentage for the two teams playing and they're separate, just as they are for any game here.

Why did they get numerous warnings? They should have been ejected after the first instance of misbehaviour.
Other clubs can't have a fans liaison officer like our venerated PC Corcoran (is he still about?) warning fans not to go in home areas and the dire consequences of doing so. Or, like him, telling their clubs of fans indulging in "inappropriate behaviour" at away games and getting the club to issue banning orders without the inconvenience of a court case.
Needless to say he and his comrades don't bother with away fans infringing the same rules and regulations in the KC. No wonder the KC tops favourite away ground polls. They are given free rein. Though Ehab will say it is because of putting new TVs in the concourse and spending ASI money on their behalf.

You don't get any brawlung? Does that mean some type of German sausage is unavailable?

A situation brought about by accident, not design. Do you always refer to people older than yourself as sonny Jim, you patronising little person?

Agree with that. I've had friends who support other teams come along and sit with me in the home end a few times. Nothing but good banter and friendly jeering.

I dont think they bother with lots of fans
but if England played Argentina or Netherlands played Germany they would keep them apart.

If you've got half a dozen lads, who've probably spent £600 between them, much of it on the alcohol you've been flogging them all afternoon, then you don't turf them out at the first sign of over-exuberance. It takes a bit to get thrown out, but if they don't heed the warnings, they can't really have any complaints.

I'd ****ing love to see them let us and the Argies mingle. Or the Dutch and Germans.

    That'd end well.

It seems ridiculous that the club have engineered a situation where they will have thousands of empty seats yet will prevent people from paying to use them. Giving Boro such a small allocation was always going to be a stupid idea.

People will say the away end is only configured for a set capacity and it can't be changed but that's not true because there has to be some contingency in place for cup games when we would be required to give the opposition more than our current maximum anyway.

I suppose selling season tickets either side of the away end was a mistake in hindsight.

There doesn't have to be any contingency for cup games now, the rules changed and we no longer have to give anyone more than 10% in either cup competition.

I've always felt that the right approach would be to increase the capacity of the stadium and price appropriately. That would mean that some areas of the stadium would be very cheap and other areas would be very expensive. There would also be the opportunity to let a lot of away fans attend. That wouldn't be a problem in terms of support because the pricing would be such that there would be a lot of home fans in attendance. The club would also be able to sell a lot more food and drink and merchandise.
I've always said that the ground could be designed so that the noisiest home fans area have a lot better acoustics. Some people have said that the acoustics make no difference but I think Brentford away showed that it does.
