What's your opinion on Thornbridge beers? I do like the Jaipur.

No, I'm trying, nicely, to explain to you how running jokes work on this forum. You're the only one that needs convincing, everybody else recognised it straight away, hence why you're the only one who's corrected it.

I really enjoyed the couple I had last week, the American IPA was sweet, if you get my drift.

I do like Deliruim, I put 6 back, simply because they had 30p deposit on the bottle. My lad bought me some last Christmas. Its the purple dragons you have to watch out for.

I haven't had a drink for 8 days and won't be having one for another 6.

    14 days and 14 nights.

I might just stop drinking all together.

You probably wouldn't like it, honey. It's for grown-ups. It mixes really well with Guinness. Try it when you finish school.

For all you beer snobs. Sounds decent. City fan too.
    http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Vint...-bar-Newland/story-28122878-detail/story.html
A NEW bar in Newland Avenue, which will provide vintage video and board games, has been given the go-ahead.

The drinking establishment will also play music on vinyl and serve craft beers.

Councillors on Hull City Council's planning committee insisted a condition be placed to ensure the vintage games are provided and is not just a gimmick to gain planning approval.

But, to be honest, I'm not sure why councillors were so hung up on the games as my selling point is the vinyl music and the craft beer.

"I am relieved the plans have been approved and we hope to open by mid-January. I am very excited by the project."

The bar will be situated in empty premises where Bargain Beers used to be, which has since moved next door.

There were objections with residents concerned about the saturation of bars and restaurants in Newland Avenue.

Newland Ward councillor Gwen Lunn said: "We already have a plethora of pubs and, at some stage, enough has to be enough.

"The extra traffic causes huge problems for residents and they want to have their street back."

Concerns have also been raised over the amount of litter created and the noise levels, particularly on a Friday and Saturday night.

But councillors admitted there is no planning policies they could use to reject the proposals.

Councillor John Fareham said: "There is no reason why we should turn this application down, but maybe there should be something in the city plan to say enough is enough regarding bars in Newland Avenue.

"But I would like to see conditions attached, to ensure the idea for vintage games isn't just swept under the carpet once approval is given.

"I would like this to be a place where people can go and play these games and have a drink, rather than just another place to go and booze."

The bar will be relatively small and will be decorated with works created by local artists and art students.

Agent Doug Jennings said the aim is for the new bar, which has no name at present, to complement rather than compete with other food and bar establishments in Newland Avenue.

He also argued that there were very few bars in this particular area of the street. The bar will be open from 9am until midnight.

Mixes? Guinness? What fresh hell is this? You try a sly comment about my age and then try and defend the beer equivalent of Mad Dog 20-20?

People in glass houses mate. If you'd come in my pub and asked for that you'd be smelling colours.
