Nowt wrong with a Lager if it's priced correctly. I wouldn't watch football with a pint of bitter, although I'll admit to having a pint of Tets at Ferriby the other night. Very good for a smooth actually.
Many moons ago, they used to do a wonderful pint of hand pulled Stones at a football club in Brough (give us a clue someone??). After having it normal Stones was ****e. I won a Chilli eating contest at a team building event with work last year (idiotic considering the state I was in last year, but I'm a daft **** at times). I won a bottle of King Cobra, that's a smooth lager for a 7.5%er.
I think you're thinking of Blackies (not as racist as it sounds) leisure club. I've had the Stones bitter there, it's good stuff. I haven't been in for while so I don't know if it's still there.
We used to drink it on the ferries years ago, 50p a bottle in them days. Had a night on Pedigree when we went across last month, a couple of Stellas on the return. The spirits offers were cheap, stocked up proper for xmas. She's already done over half a litre of Brandy, just on her xmas cakes.

Go on ... convince us it was dillibrut. Just as you have so many times before. Don't bother asking me to show you where -- or is it the other middle-aged pre-teen who does that?
In a post about grammar nazis and Oxford commas, you should have known better. You've been a member on here over a year now, if you can't recognise a whoosh when you see one, then you shouldn't risk it.
