As long as it is not offensive to look at (which it is not) I'm not bothered. I would of liked Saints to stick to last seasons design to differentiate ourselves from Stoke, Sunderland etc. But I imagine too many simpletons would be unable to cope with the change.
Not a fan: Positives: Logo not in a white box (like the Flybe kits) Negatives: White sleeves, gold Umbro logo, red socks At least it's not blue though eh!
wasn't sure at first, but think it will grow on me. I think it will look awesome at fallingdownpark when Rickie gets his third, and runs round the outside of the pitch with his hand to his ear!
I notice after reading Lambden and steinburgs posts and viewing the images - doesnt it seem really similar to the kit we got relegated in but the other way round on the sleeve colour? loved that kit btw - hated it for the one we went down in.
Love this kit, feel it really does look classy, I dont agree with the people who wanted to keep the sash, it was an anniversary kit and therefore would mean it looses it's function as that, although think last seasons was probably one of the nicest kits for a while! Back to stripes I think though, they define us and this kit is class the white arms and red cuffs stand out on both the short and long sleeve versions and like the black trim around the collar!
Like it - will be buying it - hopefully they will sell it in long sleeves - as posted above - the white sleeves sets it apart from other red/white strips!
Will be interesting to see how well they can pick each other out on the pitch, we know other teams have had problems with shirts causing problems haven't we! Nice to see stripes on the back, I hated the Stoke City kit. Just wish it had a collar, on the Player vid the shirt looks unfinished! Hopefully the names and numbers will be visible to our friends at Radio Solent who were fairly myopic last season.
