I think we have a good chance this year, Chelsea are already 14 points behind us and they along with City were meant to be the two title favourites. City could run away wth it if Aguero comes back and actually stays fit because when he is fit and firing, City are a level above us, but that is a big if given his injury record. I don't think it's outrageous to say that at this point, City and Arsenal look like the two main title contenders.
Whoa! Hold on, Tiger! You've got to get past us, first. If we beat you, I reckon that we'll have just as much chance of winning the league as you. Remember, we made the league leaders look like monkeys!
When you watch performances like Bayern's last night, it almost makes who wins the Premiership irrelevant! Whoever does win it won't be going too much further, not until the EPL can produce sides on a higher level. Like the one we watched last night.
They sure will, league titles are worth their weight in gold, you as a Spurs fans should know that better than anyone else.
Fine, celebrate away, if you win it. Just remember the lesson you were taught last night! It's called a good spanking!... The gulf is large and shows no sign of lessening.
There would have to be a radical shift at Toon for that to happen, everybody knows it's never going to come about. As for us we need to beat Zagreb at home and then win by 2 goals in Greece. Difficult, but not at all impossible. So apart from it being completely different of course, your wum fail falls flat once again. Keep em coming monkey boy
We've never claimed to be on a par with Bayern though, unlike a certain team from north london who are always banging on about being on the same level as Arsenal
Oh, come off it! HIAG posts that stuff to wind you up. Considering the gulf in resources, we do bloody well to get as close to you as we do.
What would they know about winning league titles ? 99% of them on here probably weren't even born the last time they won it.* *Apart from HIAG, who claimed to see Jimmy Greaves make his Spurs debut in 1958 (Even though Greaves was playing for Chelsea at the time)
It's a brilliant wind up when he's having the piss taken out of him for making ludicrous claims and then backpeddling when they blow up in his face. Like I say, keep em coming
Yes and I will also remember the fact that we actually beat one of the best teams in Europe this season, in fact we are still the only team that has even beaten them this season, we would have still probably lost, but just a shame that we could not put out the same line up that managed to beat Bayern.
I'm not going to get drawn into some silly argument about HIAG. You have your view, I have mine. My original post was to point out the seemingly ever widening gulf in class between Europe's top sides - such as Bayern, and the top sides of "the best league in the world" it seems to have drifted off that subject.
Granted we got hammered last night, but as Sanj says, we've already beaten them this season. It might not have changed the result, but we had Bellerin, Kos, Ramsey, Walcott missing last night. If we'd had the players available from the first game, then that gulf doesn't look so big.
