Quite simple. The players read this forum & you've totally demoralised them. :D

Problem is that most of our players offer potential, but are inconsitent in their delivery on the field. You can't win games with just potential. We lack experience & quality for the youngsters to learn from.

You think every kid we produce is the next Bale or Ronaldo. I'm not denying he has potential but we have Cook, Mowatt and Adeaymi ahead of him at this point in time. If and when Bridcutt comes in on loan it's going to push people down the pecking order. He could be the next all rounder but unless we get rid of our 1st choice CMs he's probably not going to do well at this club.

I don't. I'm no great fan of Mowatt, for instance. If you take the trouble to search & inwardly digest, you'll find quite a number of disparaging comments made by myself. I most certainly don't think that they're all world-beater, nor will hey be. However, many are good enough to get into our team, which possibly says more about the overall quality of our squad, given that they rarely get dropped when their performances dip (which you have to expect from youngsters). Our kids are not protected - they're heavily pressured, which is not good for player or club in the long run.

Hope you're right about Bridcutt. Thing is, I can probably easily list 20 or so CMs from the last 10 years that have been our 'answer', but failed miserably. A bit like these 3 wingers that were supposed to be the final piece in the jigsaw this season. I'm still waiting.

I'll admit the quality of some players in this squad isn't up to scratch but how can you play good when you don't know if you will have five new managers in the next five weeks. We're never going to have world beaters in this league if we did Citeh would buy them up straight away. The squad isn't piss poor but we are too center heavy. We need a ST,CB, LM. If we dropped Dallas or Wood we would have no cover TBH. We need competition in this squad. Every player is under massive pressure at the club.

I would say that any of or CMs over the last ten years have been the answer far from it. If we player Dallas on the LM position and played a RM player in RM then it would might be a bit better. I'm sick of hearing Blah Blah Blah we can play so and so here and we can play so and so there. We noticed that playing Byram up front instead of the defence was not a good idea. If we played players in the right position then it might work

These players of ours need a fcuking manager, simple as that ... someone they can genuinely believe in and follow, someone who will develop our kids who are ready for senior football ... no more cheapo court jesters hired to satisfy Cellino's demented need to hire and fire every few months

Kalvin Phillips really does have it all for a youngster. He could be a big player. Still obviously a lot of devolopment needed but every time I've seen him I've been impressed.

Agree Rev, Phillips has huge potential and with the right guidance he can go far ... others to consider are Denton, Skelton, Purver, Coyle, Stokes, Parkin ... we are still capable of producing talent, we have to stop losing them or ruining them

Send them to the Den where they will be nurtured and coached to perfection in how to play real football and stay in the top leagues. <doh>

Agreed. It's a pity we're going through this period of low confidence, 'cos we should be looking at introducing Coyle to the first team ASAP, as it seems that we're going to be losing Byram. I'm quite confident he'll make the grade, but it's never good to bring a kid in during a losing streak.
