Just a thought... IF he scores against you and Newcastle, he'll be playing against Man Utd trying to beat Van Nistlerooys record... Sorry, getting a bit too carried away, eh!?
Nice thread and good to see some Leicester fans on here. I am actually happy they are doing well as I am a massive Ranieri fan. cannot wait for Saturday as it's going to be a dress rehearsal for the FA Cup Final.....
Thats why i don't post there, opinions can be very over-exaggerated on a forum that doesn't involve both sides. These are the kind of people that will phone into radio Leicester at the moment saying we can get champions league football, or as i like to call them, the mad ones. I would actually take that deal so that hes the highest english player to score in consecutive matches in the prem. Also because Woy would have no choice but to play him down the middle for England or he'd look like a muppet like Neville did.
FoxesTalk has the kind of people that you get on football phone-ins. We're qualifying for the Champions League at the moment, but lose to you, and we'll never win a game again and relegation looms
I'm afraid your last bit could turn out to be true Jack, best thing then is for your boys to play for a draw on Saturday
We stopped one good run on Saturday, maybe we could become the team that no one wants to play if we rise to the challenge again this week. For those of you from Leicester you might find this interesting. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...y_s_careers_have_followed_very_similar_paths/
Its good to see a few players coming from lower/non-league like these 2 and Charlie Austin. Give Deeney a full season to settle in and it'll be him this time next year getting snubbed for Rooney and Kane at international level
Hodgson makes it sound as though Vardy has just waltzed in and demanded to be played through the middle. I don't think Vardy would do that. But he sure as hell deserves a shot through the middle, over King Rooney
Vardy hasn't made any public comments to the best of our knowledge ... but plenty of pundits, including Gary Neville, have been advocating giving Vardy the opportunity of actually playing for England in his natural / club position on the not unreasonable basis that he is currently England's 'best' striker as he is scoring consistently in the Premier League (against many of the defenders that England will encounter in France next summer) whilst more established players are not ... personally I think that Woy is now reacting to an unexpected and for him uncomfortable dilemma - calling up Vards in the first place due to injuries to more established players was a temporary fix that was also good PR i.e Woy is perhaps less predictable than his general public perception ... but Vards wasn't supposed to get so good that the same public might actually question whether he might be more effective starting at the Euros than Rooney ... uncomfortable wipples in Woy's cocoa ... so I wouldn't be at all surprised if Woy is secretly praying for Vards to have a marked dip in form ... after all Wayne, Milner, Cahill and co will undoubtedly lead us to Euro glory ... just like other major international competitions eh?
