Junior/sick note was utter **** tonight - he was skinned twice in the first few minutes, then he did a bizarre pass from left midfield into the centre to give their lad a clear run on goal, then he did a chip pass straight into touch, then he held his head in both hands after he ****ed up again, then he fell over, got up and fell over again - I got the impression that he feigned injury to stop further embarrassment - as soon as he went off we started to play well and the rest is history - i'm not a fan at the best of times but he was really **** tonight - on the bright side I thought Maguire was a revelation
So after one of our best results and performances of the season which sees us go top of the league, you use it a chance to have a dig at Bruce Jnr. Bore off, Charon.
Last night was the perfect away performance. Absorb the pressure from an in-form host who are likely to come at us and then punish them with 2 goals in the 2nd half. This tactic obviously won't work every game but all teams who get promoted or win a title win games like we did last night.
Great to see us top of the league. Things are coming together nicely and there is some great team spirit out there. Tough game on Saturday but we should see it as a chance to make a statement to the league.
Our results have been much more impressive than Brighton. All of their 8 wins have been by a single goal. Their bubble is beginning to burst with too many draws. Expect a defeat any time soon.
Those look like title odds to me, not promotion odds. Boro are odds on for promotion with the bookies.
I've got a bet with my Brighton supporting mate that they won't finish in the top 6, I'm pretty confident I'll win it. There's too many better teams just behind them and they haven't really played well for weeks, staying undefeated means nothing if you can't win games.
This exactly it was fairly obvious they couldn't keep up the intensity for the full 90 minutes, and City just let them run themselves out of gas, then took advantage.
Not guaranteed at all and if we'd been stick with Jela we'd have been financially ****ed. People always want to moan about something but the club played this 100% correct.
