When I was at sea In the Merchant Navy years ago I remember everyone used to go ashore on the piss all the time and tattoos were an occupational hazard, but i had a nipple piercing done once , didn't hurt at the time because of the quantity of booze consumed but it hurt like **** the next few days, took it out eventually because it was a nuisance.
My mate had an eagle tattooed on his bell end and I know another bloke who had an eye tattooed on his forehead, it seemed like a good idea at the time, the demon drink has a lot to answer for.

I too have spent a lot of time in Singapore and I can never ever remember tattoo parlours in the 4 floors, plenty of expensive Philipino and Chinese whores in the bars and very expensive gorgeous Russian one's on the top floor but I must have been distracted from the tattoo parlours, I would imagine it would cost and arm and a leg to get a tattoo done there.
