And if Sunderland surge through midfield, Romeu gets sent off, we lose by 2 or 3 .......................?? OR ........ we put in Romeu, Davis has another great game (well, 65 minutes .....), JWP comes on and places a corner straight onto Graziano's head for the winner in the 85th minute ........... OR ........ anything could happen - let's get over it and move on ..................
OK maybe that comment was a bit unfair. But I do think Vic needs to use his brain a bit more. I do get that he will pick up a fair amount of yellows but he could do with cutting them down a bit. He got a 2 game ban for picking up 10 yellow cards last season if I remember correctly.
For me what was interesting was the sending off resulted in JWP coming on. Bournemouth were even less effective in attack when we dropped to 10 men, for the last 15 minutes we kept our shape and ran the clock down fairly effectively. JWP was instrumental in this covering and keeping possession. I was surprised he didn't come on when Clasie was substituted.
Am I the only one who's suprised/thankful that is the first time Vic has been sent off? When we signed him I thought he would be a 2 a season kind of player really.
Criticise him maybe, but to make it out it was utterly stupid and he is a bloody idiot is the assessment of someone who is OTT and never played the game and never made a slight mistake in his life. That same person is very forgiving of referees who may make a slight Misjudgement on a decision that is made in a split second. More forgiving of referees than saints players? Maybe the sun was in his eyes!
I'm sorry but you call referees all the names under the sun and then you call me OTT for calling Wanyama a bloody idiot! And you deny you go OTT when criticising referees. Look, I know I can't have it both ways - I've either got to be more tough on referees or ease up on the criticism of the players. But the same applies to you but the other way round.
Make sure that you don't fumble whilst retrieving them. You might start another lively discussion about your handling ability.
Ok, I have an idea for the half-time entertainment at the next home fixture. How about a pillow fight in the centre-circle until the protagonist are exhausted. The combatants to be selected from, and by, a poll of Not606 posters. I can think of a couple of suitable candidates
Anyone post up the twitter comments from MLT and Shearer.? Bit of fun. please log in to view this image
Tuesday 3rd November 2015. 14:15. Are we STILL going on about it. It's been discussed so long soon Wanyama will have served his ban....
Walk-ins are stupid, if fun. Should just scratch the goal if the ref literally encourages you to allow a walk-in, so you both get the chance to keep a clean sheet.
We've got Stoke the following weekend, who are pretty much a good description of that. Though they'll do well to play off the trauma of being chased by a naked man and his flying rabid dog for the remainder of the season. Suspect they'll need the international break more than most!
Not too far off the age of that Geordie guy in his mid-40s who squared up to and punched that police horse. Ridiculous. Probably a great-grandfather too.
When he goes on one of his runs, he's as good and inventive a dribbler as anyone. And when we're doing that quick passing and possession-holding, he'll rarely be the one to concede possession. He's got a real skill for that stuff.
