Very good result, especially against a good side playing away and having a dodgy recent record against them. I'm also pleased that Campbell scored and hopefully he can kick on and be a viable option to Walcott.

Yep, really pleased for Campbell. I think this could be the shot in the arm that he needed. He's a sharp and mobile forward, but he hasn't done much since the World Cup TBH. Wenger is going to give him a chance now that Ox and Walcott are out for a few games, this is his chance to stake a claim in the team <ok>

Could well be. But I've always felt why he hasn't done better for us when he obviously has the talent. One thing he offers that OXO doesn't, is a proper goal threat. As much OXO is talented on the ball, he doesn't score enough in our system, that requires our wide players to score.

A run in the team could be what he needs

Ok so it's a grainy picture. But this Arsenal's plane taking off from Cardiff airport tonight. Taken by my brother who works in the tower there.

Big result today, this was a game we would have easily lost or drawn in the past, but this team is starting to show that they have something extra when we really need to dig out the points.

After today three arsenal players are in the Barclays fantasy football dreamteam. None from Chelsea or Liverpool or spurs. One from city and United.

I don't like getting drunk and posting on here because it brings my guard down. But christ I just look at Cech on the MOTD highlights and smile thinking he plays for us now. Plus Campbell really looks like he could be a top wing forward for us with a run of games if he can do what he did today on a consistent basis.

I'll be back moaning tomorrow when I sober up.

What a brilliant result! I'm not gonna get carried away yet but there's something about this team... We're getting results from places where we usually drop them!

Yep early days but maybe, just maybe we will continue this form in the face of losing key(?) players which has given others a rare chance. Campbell looked decent on MOTD & wish him a good run. We can certainly use his goal scoring ability. Took his goal yesterday very coolly.

Although I'm expecting a drop in form at some point, and the results against Wednesday and in the cl show we can still be stupid. But what is promising is that after the Spurs game we won't play any of the top teams until the festive period. Which is a nice long run of games we'd be expected, on paper at least, to win!

It'd be typical Arsenal to have finally overcome our hurdles in the big games, and then fall in the games we should be winning on paper, no longer the flat track bullies. :D.

It always made me laugh when the press slagged off Wenger/arsenal for only being able to beat the small teams and couldn't beat the bigger teams as before that we always got criticised for only beating the big teams and never being able to mix it up with the smaller direct sides.

Hopefully it's not coming full circle now, and instead we can demonstrate some sustained consistency

Joel Campbell clearly reads Not606 and saw my post. You're all f*cking welcome. I accept gratitude in the form of monies and beer...!

Seriously though you can't ask for much more from the lad. He's got his chance and he took it really well. Obviously consistency will now be the key but as I said before the right wing is one spot I feel we're not 100% on yet. We've good options but nobody has yet claimed it as their own. What I found most pleasing was the work rate he put in. Admittedly I only saw motd so my view is skewed but they showed him tracking back to help Merts out when Bellerin was out of position which you certainly don't see from AOC (yet).

The rest played pretty well and it's hard to be negative following a 3-0 away win to a team we struggle against. I know we rode out luck first half with the penalty shout (it was) and the Gomis one on one but credit has to be given to Cech for forcing him wide and Hec for his lung busting sprint to clear - speeeeeeeeeeeeed! Seriously though in those situations you know we'd have conceded with other keepers. Ospina would have dived early making himself as small as possible and Chezzers would have cleaned Gomis out and got sent off! I think merely having Cech causes opposing players to think twice which in itself is helpful.

I was impressed by Campbell too and his tracks backs and effort was heartening to see. He wanted to prove a point and put in a lot of effort which reflected in his good performance, i'm sure it got the manager's notice too! Hopefully he can get some consistency going and become a regular first teamer.

I 2nd (or 3rd, or even 4th) the praise of Campbell's performance against Swansea, I only saw the MOTD highlights but it seemed like he had a high work rate, tracking back to help out Merts/Bellerin which is excellent while at the same time looking to take a shot and looking dangerous, which is what we need.

It's very pleasing, as previously he's looked a bit lazy or anonymous when given a chance, so hopefully this is him grapping a 'coquelin' chance and really making a mark on the team. The world cup showed that he has the talent.

I suppose a 'good thing' (if you can call it that) about when we get injuries to first-team players is that it allows us to welcome in a youth/fringe player to step up and prove why they still have something to offer to the side. If they do well, it increases their motivation, improves squad competition and gives us suitable options when we need to rotate.

Hopefully this is what happens with Campbell now he's finally got off the mark in an Arsenal shirt.
