The posters will cotton on quickly.

    I'm hopeful of a win.

I'm there in the posh seat (apparently there is only one).

    Looking forward to it.

This is much better than the usual match threads - Albert please take note. We need a win here and hopefully it will be a turning point. I am predicting a 3-1 win. Injuries aren't looking very promising. We are now 4 players clear at the top although with 2nd placed Arsenal playing Spurs next week. No news on Elliot although looking unlikely he will be fit. Not sure whether we are actually allowed an emergency loan as rule is that all senior keepers have to be unavailable before this is allowed and Woodman is fit. Man City were allowed to use one when they still had one young keeper on their books in 2010.
My opinion is that Woodman would be the better option. He has been playing with the first team presumably for last few weeks and bringing in a goalkeeper with 3 days notice cant be good. Give him a chance - he may step up and it could provide the feelgood factor we need.

Oh sorry I thought this was the serious thread.
This game is sew important. A win could give us the jump (er) start we need sew that we can soon be bobbin along in mid-table but a loss may see us unravel. Hopefully Steve can get our patchwork team to knit.

I think after the last few games, its pretty obvious we need someone who can thread the eye of a needle and unlock a defence. Perhaps its time to move Gini more central. If we can just knit the whole package together we can scrape a win. McClaren has an opportunity here to leave a rich tapestry of success if he can start stringing a few victories together. Obi has a needle dick.

All of these injuries have stitched us up and now we have a patchwork team. Hopefully our flair players can hem them into their own box.

I can't see us beating Bournemouth for a number of reasons

A - No keeper, alot of fans want to give Woodman a go, but what happens if he gets injured 10 mins in, plus the idea of an 18 yr old keeper frightens me! especially after Alnwick last year
2 - Injuries everywhere, Mbabu, rolando, Janmaat, haidara have been added to the list, really not sure we are able to put a back four together
C - We all expect to beat Bournemouth, the players will to and that level of complacency is dangerous

The best defence I can put together atm is

    Woodman
    Lacelles Mbemba Colo Dummet.

Not really sure about that, and I reckon McClaren will swap lacelles and Mbemba around and Mbemba is clearly not a rb

I don't think anyone expects to beat Bournemouth. If they do they need their head examined. I'd hope we can give them a good game. They are a decent side, they played incredibly well in the 2nd half against Southampton. Their results have clearly taken a hit of late, but lets be honest, we are not exactly delivering in that regard either. I think they start obvious favourites with home advantage.

I actually do expect us to beat them, we have injuries but Haidara, Aarons, Mbabu aren't first team. We're missing Krul and Colback really, it's not that bad. Bournemouth on the other hand are massively depleted, their captain is out, Wilson who looked very good is out for the season, Mings their most expensive signing is injured as is there other big summer signing in Gradel, all four are season ending injuries too so their morale is at rock bottom.

When I say I "expect us to beat them" I actually mean there is no logical reason why we shouldn't. If we lose at the weekend things are much worse than anyone imagined IMO. It's a huge game but one we should really be winning given their current form, lack of experience in this league and their injury problems.

I have a logical reason. They have scored more points than us this season and won more games including trouncing Sunderland 2 zip. Their current form in terms of performance is no worse than our own. I watched their full game on Sunday and they completely dominated the 2nd half away from home at St Marys. That is not easy. They were unlucky to lose and just lacked a cutting edge. I think everybody got carried away by their humpings off a very good Spurs side and a very good Man C side. I think we need to respect that on all known evidence so far this season, they are at least our equal.

  18. Comfortable Bournemouth win here. they certainly shouldn't be settling for anything less than two points from this game.

Did you watch them on Sunday? The wheels looked as secure as those on a german made vehicle in the 2nd half. They are still playing fairly well. We are too but I think it would be foolhardy to expect. I think we are well capable in current form of going there and winning. I just think it is just as likely or more so that they will convert their decent performances into a win. We're in a similar boat, table doesn't lie.
