Talk about cocky and being confident (and bitter).. Thought we were playing Leicester - not Real Madrid! http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/103084-watford-the-golden-boys-up-next/page-3
and "I expect Watford to have noted our weaknesses in defending set pieces in the air and prepare accordingly. I hope we score first because if they do and sit back it could be a frustrating afternoon. " Mind you are we any good and high balls in the box at the mo.?
Have been impressed watching Leicester on the box this season . It's great to see a fellow Englishman scoring plenty of goals . We have a good , confident team who are well organised by an excellent manager ..I'm feeling we can match sides like Leicester and would not be surprised if the hornets claim 3 points on Saturday .
Seemed pretty reasonable for the most part. The odd one or two oddities but I would expect that from any forum.
I have to admit I've not seen Leicester this season, but they are clearly doing something right and it should be a decent game. I note that they have scored a hatful of goals...but also conceded quite a few too. First goal could be vital. I do hope the 'banter' doesnt go over the top as I seem to recall it has done in the past.
You haven't seen us, not even on MOTD? I would argue that first goal probably won't be vital... I think I read that we've gone behind in 7 out of our 11 games so far, yet have only lost once... [Watch now, this will be the first time that we concede first and go on to lose ] We have been playing really well for a long time now, Vardy and Mahrez are in the form of their lives... We are absolutely loving this at the moment... The question asked every week is "how long will it last?", but we just keep rolling on. We went 1-0 down to West Brom at the weekend, and I thought "Ah here we go, 1-0 down away to a Pulis team, we'll just get bullied out into a 1-0 defeat", but we still came back and won. Admittedly we can't defend, that's obvious by the fact we have only kept one clean sheet in 11 Premier League games But football is about outscoring the opposition, and that's what we've been doing. You have started the season really well, you were a bit of a wildcard in the summer, with a lot of new players and a new manager. Ighalo has been amazing for you. You have looked pretty solid defensively too (I have Nyom in my FPL team, thanks for the clean sheet at the weekend ) Expecting a close game on Saturday though, wouldn't be totally unhappy with a draw, but would love to take the 3 points. Here's to a bit of fun anyways, things may have got a little heated before, although to be fair, you were pretty decent about the whole Knockaert penalty miss (you could have been far worse), we may have given some back with the 3-0 win at your place when we met in the Championship, but that's football... We've all moved on, and everything seems to have worked out for the best anyways
TBH...no. I usually fast forward to Watford then switch off. I think the first goal could be important (if not vital) only because we can defend a lead, but we struggle when we go behind. That's the only reason. The play off win is consigned to the past for me. Both teams have come a long way since then. Looking forward to a decent game and a ground I've not been to before.
Fair play, well you've been missing out by skipping over Leicester Yep, that's all in the past now, always had a bit of a soft spot for Watford growing up (really not sure why!), for some reason, I was always Watford on a realllly old football game on Playstation, and always remember Allan Smart scoring lots of goals for me Have a safe trip to the KP, sure you'll have fun (but hope you don't enjoy it too much!!)... The atmosphere has just been immense this season, we really are on Cloud 9, but at the same time, all trying not to get too carried away. Good luck after Saturday
I think we've both shown we can do it at this level, and don't think that a defeat for either side will mean/show that either aren't very good.
Fair enough - it was a few clearly not too keen on us but should be in the past as we now both Premier league teams. Naturally there will be an air of confidence in both sides.
Vardy has scored in 8 games in a row. 10 is the recordI think Van Nistlehorse holds, wonder if we´ll stop him?
Probably. But the fact Vardy has already passed Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, and is even being mentioned in the same breath as Van Nistlerooy is just incredible. Nobody expected this, and nobody expects him to make it to 10 either... But one can dream
Hmm now that's a tempting offer If you can convince Newcastle AND Man Utd to also let him score against them, you may have yourself a deal
