Certainly hope you're right but doesn't that sound so familiar. Signing some out of form player and hoping he'll discover fitness or form. How'd our last dip into the pl basement work out
Well obviously PL form players won't come Leeds, but Hazard has been out of form joke, but scum an keep out of form Rooney, serious
Evening all. Can't see the point of Bridcutt unless he's a Michael Brown style DM or a forward likely to score plenty of goals. But time will tell
Evening all I would get rid of Sloth,Bianchi, Wootton and Doukara. If we get rid of X amount of players we need to sign that amount and then some as I still believe the squad is still stupidly small. Evans is looking at Targets so there could be more that Bridcutt coming in.
Bridcutt's performances in the following 2012–13 Championship campaign earned him his second successive Player of the Season award, becoming the first Brighton player to achieve back-to-back Player of the Season awards since Bobby Zamora. For a loan player, I think he sounds excellent, I just hope he arrives in better shape and form than Buckley. Yes I agree we have an abundance of central midfield players but they are pretty much all of the same quality and looking at results, form and performances not good enough. Supposed to be looking for a keeper, with Cellino willing to sell now I don't know if these deals can still happen, surely Cellino is going to say no more spending?
Who's gonna pay his wages. He is / was a 4/5m player. He must be on 25k a week. Why would Cellino pay?
Ristac, thanks for doing the morning thread. I was in the office 7.30 am as normal to start the Breakfast debate, and couldn't get internet access. Had to wait for a techy to come and reset the system...
We were rumoured to be after bridcutt in the summer... His career parallels that of Buckley pretty well... Looked good in a winning Brighton team... A short while later Sunderland fans are offering a whip-round to pay his cab fare here. Both guys who've shown good form, but not in it at the moment. Makes them a gamble. Not averse to gambles myself, but at this time, where we are now, we need safer bets I think. Unfortunately, emergency loan windows are unlikely to offer 'sure things' ( if there's ever such a thing in football), so these type of guys are what we're going to be looking at I'm afraid.
