Vettel gets a puncture first lap and Alonso retires. Fingers crossed for some rain.

Safety car in the F1. This'll get tasty now between Lewis & Nico.

Hmm sadly that excitement didn't happen. Great race and victory for Rosberg. Shame Lewis couldn't quite match him here.

Anyone else been to see the new Bond film? I went last night.

Think I feel a little disappointed. Felt like it was all building up to Daniel Craig leaving the series and wasn't one of the best scripts they've come up with. Not as good as Skyfall.

I haven't seen one since Connery gave up the lead.

You've missed out then. Daniel Craig, as directed by Sam Mendes, has done a great job capturing the dark and conflicted nature of Fleming's anti-hero.

To be fair, I've never quite seen the attraction of James Bond, although the idea of a British Secret Agent, with license to kill, does appeal, and the 007 music and paraphernalia adds to this. I've never thought any of the renowned Bonds were particularly good. Connery was ok-ish, I suppose. Moore played it for laughs and was way too old even when he started. Which reminds me, my Dad took me to see Live & Let Die, and I still remember the opening sequence thinking the film was going to be good, but it bored the pants off me. Dad thought it was poor too, so that was the last time he took me to the cinema to see a Bond film, especially with Simon Templar playing Bond.

I thought Pierce Brosnan made a pretty good attempt and Daniel Craig is not bad at all. I saw Quantum of Solace and SkyFall several months back and was surprised how reasonable they were, but then my expectations have always been relatively low regarding James Bond. Great concept, but generally poorly executed, in my opinion.

Funnily enough, the best Bond film for me was On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Lazenby is nowhere near as bad as he's supposed to be, he can smack someone in the chops as well as the next secret agent, and the story is pretty good. Generally though, the best thing about James Bond films is when the Aston Martin [DB4 preferably] appears.

Yeah, the Aston is invariably the true star.

What Connery and Craig have in common is that they both look capable of delivering a right hander that would smart a bit.

Looks like the plane that crashed over the weekend was brought down by I.S.

Really? Are you basing that on the statement made in Russia? If so, it's a statement made by the deputy director of the airline (who has a commercial interest in the cause not being either their plane or their pilot) long before anything really is known.

It's unlikely to have been an IS missile given the altitude of the plane. Unlikely but not impossible, I'll grant. Bomb is also possible.

However, coming to the conclusion you have is putting two and two together and getting five.

The most likely theory so far is a bomb on the plane. The plane broke apart in mid air. That doesn't just happen.

Even the head of the Russian FAA is saying "too early" yet already people with much less knowledge than him are certain. The internet is a truly wonderful thing.
