This is why most rival fans will say Jose isn't a top manager atm, similar to guardiola. They've always been at a club which is the richest in the league. Yes, they've won things and if you can afford to spend money they will spend it wisely, something not all managers will do (Rodgers), but they haven't been at a club that has gone through some poor results, and it's the mark of a great manager to take a failing team and sort that out. Of if mourinho can turn it around and make Chelsea competitive again this year and get top 4/ win a trophy I think he'll have had a better managerial season than he has previous 2 years.
Yep, I agree in full. If he gets his head together and turns this around it will be a better piece of management than he has had so far. He can certainly pick the right players to complete a squad when buying though.
Not that they should because they've been successful, but would be interesting to see how managers like Guardiola and Mourinho do at a club that isn't the dominant force in their league. It's like football manager, very satisfying to take over Barca and win everything in site... but far more satisfying and a better achievement taking Fleetwood from the conference to the Premiership!
I am one of a very few people who have serious doubts about Pep, as of yet he has still to prove himself in my opinion.
