So if Elliot is injured I assume we now qualify for an emergency loan? If so surely Man U is the first port of call for Valdes or Lindergaard

I think he's done ok since he came in. Only really had one important save to make yesterday and pulled off a very good stop. His distribution is better than Krul's too, though he could do with releasing it quicker when options are open.

To be fair I think the fat ladyboy we have in nets currently is useless. I think you have to be fair to him though, he's done ok since coming in. You just know a clanger is not far away though.

Alex Stepney for me. Gordon Banks would be good but I understand he was involved in a car crash a few weeks ago.

I've read that Valdes is certainly interested and his agent wants it to happen. LVG wants rid of him, but Man U want to make us pay. Scteve seems to have got Sign off on it and it looks likely, the only thing awaiting at this time is Premier league/FA approval.

We are no Harm to Man u and us having a better keeper will only help them if we get decent results against teams around them.

I think this will either move really quickly, like the next 24-48 hrs or it will be confirmed that Woodman plays on Sat, Hopefully he doesnt get injured or we could see Colo wearing the gloves!

 

I would think we are a shoe in in qualifying for a loan. If Valdes is an option, both in terms of finance and interest, then it is a no brainer.

 

Get Valdez in. World Class keeper still. Better than Krul. Big influence on the pitch and in the dressing room. Mouthy. Just what is needed. Plus, Coloccini couldn't argue miscommunication when he inevitably ****s up.

 

we could try and loan Enrique back from Liverpool .....he isn't very busy currently ..plus! ..he has goalkeeping experience

Anyway Valdes would be a quality acquisition for the club, as Windy says head and shoulders above any of our current crop and could help develop the younger goal keepers even if only for a short period at the club. The guys has 22 medals ranging from the Spanish League Cup equivalent to the World Cup (although he didn't play - Iker Casillias...) that's probably more than our entire first team put together...
