I would much prefer to see the undoubted all round quality and superiority of Diame or Maloney to Luer even in an advanced position. We did see it out, did not play well, won 2-0, thats fine by me.
By the way, if anyone wants to start a thread about how **** we sometimes are away from home, be my guest. This one is about the prospect of nobody beating us at the KC. Just thought I'd remind you of that
As going through a season undefeated at home in the league has only happened once before in our history, I wish you luck with your prediction. The season we did it was marred by a single defeat by Sunderland in an FA Cup tie. The record for the number of consecutive home league games in which City remained unbeaten stands at 25. To the 21 games played unbeaten at home in the 1932/33 season is added the last 4 games played at home in the 1931/32 season.
I still believe that this will boil down to three teams come the end, Burnley, Boro and us... but no doubt TWT
It will be us and a runner-up - probably Boro, we will take 3 points off Boro (2-1) and all six off Burnley. I might look for odds.
Ask your secretary for your sense of humour. You seem to have misplaced it. It'll be where you left it btw.
