I wonder if you would have been so forgiving if it had been our left back giving away a goal because the sun was in his eyes!

They had 75% possession second half.. It may have been more (it was 78-22 after about 30 mins into the second half). You're deluded if you don't think they were dominating and stupid if you don't see what I was getting at...<doh><doh><doh><doh><doh>

I think we'd appreciate if you can tone down the rebuffs Tintin. Just leave out the 'stupid' and other comments and we'll be fine.

Why is it necessary to call one another idiots, stupid, deluded, etc?

There's a huge difference between, "What you're saying doesn't make sense because .... " and, "You're stupid if you think that".

Bournemouth lacked the finish and quality to threaten us really. I wonder if we were just trying to save energy/ avoid injury because I don't understand why we stopped playing out from the back and keeping any possession at all for the second half.
Didn't see any agro myself between the fans and it seemed reasonably good-tempered inside the stadium. Rather better than on here, it would seem....

We need to stop switching off in the second half. Didn't cost us today because Bournemouth were poor, but it will cost us against some other team. I can at the same time enjoy a very nice victory and also not turn a blind eye to some of our deficiencies.

Romeu or Ward Prowse. At the moment we continue to look a bit unbalanced in midfield whatever options we use. It might take a while before we hit on our best set up.

Davis would be my first name on the team sheet every week. The back 4 pick themselves, so do Pelle, Mane and Tadic. After that it gets complicated imo. We're still not quite a unit, despite a lot of talented options. Good headache for Ron to have really; these are high class problems.

Haha, yeah, was more thinking aloud in Eddie Howe's voice there. What I hoped would happen was of course that he crumbled in the Cauldron of Hate. As it is, of course, was no need for any help from Boruc.

I think he's right to answer this way. Tintin's post to which saintlyhero was responding had a valid point, and saintlyhero's response of two facepalms is hardy a constructive one.

Listening to the Radio 5 commentary now. Good stuff. So much better than the TV. Trouble is they don't sync.

I am a temporary thread maker, not a miracle worker! I like to think that our lads were told to take their foot off of the gas so as not humiliate our South Coast buddies. Can't think why else we would go off the boil like that, taking into consideration that our inspirational skipper missed the second half, but for all of their huffing and puffing they were only allowed two shots on target, they were simply not good enough. What happened to Mane? He was awful today. Pelle was my MoM, closely followed by Cedric and VVD. I like Jordy, but his first ball is almost always a safety pass back, I want to see him spraying the ball to feet forwards, I have seen him do it on vids! Vic was a bit silly, he didn't need to make that challenge Maya had it covered. A win is a win and it was vital so that we can keep up the challenge,

Nice to re-assert our status as top dogs on the south coast. Thought I would be a little bit more smug after them giving it large but can't bring myself to as it's a shame that their first season in the top flight is marred by injuries. Wish them well over the rest of the season.

Very good point in there - Mané certainly wasn't himself today, lost the ball a great deal and didn't seem to have his usual spark. Makes a big difference.
