Dummett's crosses are decent sometimes, but we need a defensive LB at the moment.

Take care of the defence on the left side first, then we can think about building a ****ing attack.

Dummett's ****e could have easily cost us a goal yesterday.

Haidara might be **** at crossing, but he's far better defensively than Dummett.

    <laugh> Russian Standard?

He is our most defensive left back, Haidara is clueless defensively. I think it is the opposite problem with Dummett, he offers nothing in the attacking sense. Neither is the answer. I like young Mbabu but I don't think the answer is to play him permanently out of position at left back. Bottom line is, we are conceding less with Dummett on the left, so until we get someone in, leave it as it is. Just common sense really.

Dummett is our best defensive full back - I'd even say better than Janmaat defensively. He struggles in the opposite direction and long-term I think he is more of a centre-back than a full back, but the one thing you can't overly criticise him for is his defensive abilities.

Nope. Deadly serious. The one proviso I'd say is that I am including Mbemba as a CB. When he goes out to full back he is better than anybody we have at full back.

Mate Paul dummet is dreadful worst in the division.

He'd make for a good pirate given he has only one leg.

Defensively I think he's actually a good defender. His play going forward needs work though.

Dummy is much beter defender than hairdryer but hairdryer is better going forward.
tbh i thought dummy did well yesterday.....Think he has become another easy target on the social media scene.
He doesn't seem to get much stick at the games.

No i think there both ok tbh need a bit work on there game.
Dummett put a great shift in yesterday and made a cracking tackle in front of the east stand to stop a counter attack.
Who do you buy to replace them with?
The clowns we have in charge won't pay the money ?????????.
The fat **** would not pay the cash for top of the range left back,so we have what we have.

I must be watching a different player, because he got owned too easily two times in the game yesterday and it could have easily cost us a goal. He was lucky not to get booked for his clip on Bojan. Plus he seems to be uncomfortable on the ball, and gives it away in bad positions.

Haidara is no worse than Dummett positionally, and he doesn't allow himself to get skinned as easily either.

For me Dummett is the better defender but Haidara has more going forward. Dummett has better positional sense, Haidara is always too far off the opposition when they are attacking. Dummett however is better at centre back than full back as his lack of passing ability isn't exposed there. He can just give it to a midfielder. The full backs should be the focus of moves starting from the back and you cannot afford one who cannot pick a pass. Unfortunately we are too weak at the back to carry a full back just for his attacking abilities and I don't think either of these two are a long term solution.

No need to even worry about it now as both Haidara and Mbabu were both injured in the reserve game tonight.
