We had a great first half and scored two good goals. Despite conceding possession, we kept a clean sheet. Shame we couldn't have two good halves, but 3 points is what we came for. More worried by injuries to Tadic and Fonte and losing Wanyama for a game.
Koeman isn't proactive enough with subs. It didn't help that he lost a substitution though with Fonte's injury. I really hope he'd have pulled Clasie off sooner otherwise. Bournemouth were also very good second half. They got their tactics spot on. And then Pelle struggled to keep hold of the ball so we struggled to get out.
It's hardly just this game is it? But look, let's just leave it. You and I will never agree as a rule (though I thought Koeman took Clasie off at the right time). The fact we won't tend to agree makes me very happy. So let's leave it.
Poor maybe, but not really lucky. Our goals were good and we kept Bournemouth out despite playing like twaddle for the second half. I'd rather see it as job done than anything else.
It is but for the second home game in a row our second half was abysmal and a better team would have at least got a draw.
I'm not upset at all. Seriously. I just won't let someone lie about me. If he doesn't agree with me that's fine. But he was just chatting ****. I wasn't negative at all. At no point did I think Bournemouth had a chance of pulling it back to 2-2. I just wanted a clean sheet and not have certain players do unnecessary work, so I wanted changes to be made.
But they weren't a better team. We still defended really well 2nd half. I get what you mean, but I still count it as a decent win. Fonte has a slight hamstring strain.
We should all walk away with Koeman's positive assessment ringing in our ears. We won. 7th place. Koeman's the coolest guy in the PL. Happy days.
We beat them 2-0. In what aspect of the game were we lucky? We had a player sent off and didn't have the ref favouring us. We beat them fair and square. We defended well. That's not lucky. If you are saying we are lucky, then I could say that Bournemouth are lucky we didn't have Long to bring on second half to tear them apart on the counter.
As Ron said they had only one real chance, but then Bournemouth didn't have a striker equivalent to Vardy.
Thank you, Beefy. Certainly saves me the bother of saying it. Cheers. I love a self-regulating forum.
Some people are perfectionists, or would like the team to be maximising it's potential. I'm sure everyone is happy with the win. This squad has potential to be top 6. Right now we're 7th and not playing our best (Koeman isn't at his best either) which is very promising. If everything clicks then top 6 is possible, the squad is very good.
