Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team updates ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League match against Bayern Munich:
    on the team news…
The team news is that, from Saturday’s squad, we lost Bellerin, who will not be available tomorrow night. We have nobody else back, so that means he has been replaced in the squad by Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

    on Hector’s injury…
We have to wait a little bit. It’s not a big problem but it’s a small groin problem.

on Arteta, Ospina and other injuries…
They are all very close. I think Arteta will be back in full training on Friday, Ospina as well. After the break, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsey [could be] back as well.

Looking at our last 6 vs Munich looks very interesting, despite how strong they have always been, we do have quite a good competitive and even record against them.

No reason why we can't go to the Allianz and beat them there. We're on a great run and full of confidence. It would put us right back in the mix in the group if we could get 3 points there.

Yup, but Munich did always end up winning the war.....On number 6 that 1-0 we had was back in 2005 in the second leg at home, we lost at their place 3-1, so we ended up going out.

Then again we lost to them at home 3-1 and won 2-0 only to go out on away goals in 2013, and in 2014 lost 2-0 at home and got 1-1 at their ground.

Could be another case this year, beat Munich, but we end up crashing out of the group stages.

The last 2 times we faced Munich away they had the game pretty wrapped up, so they probably had complacency, this time round we are facing them when they do have a lot at stake and do need a win, so it will be interesting to see how things turn out. We are unbeaten in our previous two at the Allianz, can we make it 3? It's a tough task.

The blueprint though is there, it's not a case of letting Munich have the ball, I think even if we wanted to take the ball from them we'd fail, they are just masters at keeping the ball, so basically you just need to have very disciplined organisation, and have everyone at a good defensive level to make it very difficult for Munich to find space and create chances when they near the final third of the pitch. And then when you do have the ball, you need to be sharp and clinical and get those passes and movements just right to hit them on the break. And yes, make the most of set pieces, Neuer's howler at the Emirates was not the first time he's had some erratic goalkeeping moments against us, as good as he is, he does seem a bit clumsy at times, so set pieces are very important.

You cant play for a draw, you are not equipped for that (but it would be a great result).
Regardless of the outcome (on away goals like 2013) you still have a very impressive record against them.

We will have to be patient and accept Bayern will have the lions share of the ball but defend as a tight unit and break at pace. Problem is we are missing Walcott and OXO but maybe Campbell can do a job?

But to be honest it could go either way and depends on what Arsenal turns up.

I think we need to press them from the front and force them into making mistakes. If we let them have the ball and play out from the back then we are going to end up sitting in our own half for the whole game. Also we don't have the option of using Walcott on the break to keep the Bayern defenders on the back foot, although Campbell is no slouch and could be used as a good out on the wing.

I see no reason why we can't get a result in Munich though, we know we're good enough to beat them and if we do it again we are level on points with them and we have a better GD than Olympiakos and Zagreb

It's a bit of risk, because we can end up tiring ourselves out, and then they can take advantage of tired legs and pick us off as we have been doing to other teams recently. My preference would be a bit like what we did at home against them and VS Mancity, let them have the ball and do their passing game in areas that don't matter, but when they start approaching the box, make it tight, and then start closing them down.

Another risk too is if we chase them up the pitch, we open ourselves as well, Munich are very good with the ball and so they will be more than capable to deal with our pressing at times and just play out of it.

It comes with risks, but then playing Bayern comes with risks whatever way you look at it. I'd rather see us press them from the front and not allow them time on the ball to build up a head of steam. Bayern are so good on the ball, I think if we just let them have it then they will tire us out by making us chase them around. I'd rather see us try and pressure them into conceding possession, so that we have the ball and can dictate the pace of the game.

    Just buy the bus company
My philosophy is if it ain't broke, don't fix it.....We have enjoyed success vs Munich by applying such tactics as sitting back-defending, and then when the opportunity avails itself, we hit them. I think we'd open ourselves to get hurt if we play high, especially when they have players like Robben-Lewdanski who will be waiting to getting behind us....One reason we kept lewdanski quiet in the last game is because he never had the chance to get behind us because we were playing deep, he just had one chance when he got behind us when were opened up and Cech produced a great save.

I agree with you here. Bayern will want to avenge their loss and try and prove a point this weeks game. We should employ a similar measured approach and wait for them to make mistakes and hit them on the break. The priority here is not to get blown away and for us to maintain our decent form. Last thing we want is our heads to drop in the league, which is our main priority.

If Olympiakos draw, and we lose, we still have all to play for, basically just win our next 2 games, and we qualify. Hopefully Zagreb get a point. If we lose and the Greeks win, it means we still have to win both games, but the second game against Olympiakos becomes more complicated because we basically have to not only win, but also better their result at the Emirates to go through on head-head.

I think its unlikely we will beat Bayern at home. Its possible but unlikely.

A draw would be a good result.

Losing Walcott is a massive blow and it means we can't really repeat our performance from the Emirates against Bayern away, because we have lost our main counter attacking threat. Bayern were scared of Walcott's pace, hence them playing Alaba at CB, and with Walcott we always had that out ball. Now Bayern will push their defensive line even higher and they will really try and put some serious pressure on the likes of Ozil,Cazorla and Coquelin when they have the ball.

With Giroud we can play it in the air, but I suspect we will defend very deep therefore getting support to Giorud is going to be hard. Set pieces might be very crucial in this game, because I suspect we will create our best chances from those situations.

It would be interesting to see if we try occasionally to mix it up and switch it so we drop Giroud deeper (as he's shown he's quite hard working and decent in defence for a striker) and push Campbell up top, then his pace might catch Bayern unawares. (It would take some organisation as someone would need to support Bellerin on the flank).

I think we will have to use Campbell and Sanchez's pace to go for the counter, using Giroud to drop deep and lay off balls to them. Not sure Giroud will be effective playing more forward.
