Putting the defensive aspect to one side, Flannagan cannot attack the flanks like Clyne and Moreno can.

It relies on high energy and speed - If Flanno advances that high up the pitch and we lose the ball, there is no way we can recover. That's why I believe we need a back up full back who is stylistically similar to our starters - this allows us to rotate players without compromising the style.

Can is not a natural DM and Lucas hasn't got the positional awareness or legs to cover that ground.

Agree though - we need to strengthen the midfield but the issue still remains - if Flanno starts, we lose a big attacking threat, similar to how when Gomez started ahead of Moreno.

Meld just stop then. Not going to agree, you think Lucas and Flanno are ****, I think that Lucas has been brilliant so far this season and Flanno was our best defender 2 years ago.

Agreed. Lucas has always been decent. Very aware. Sees the danger. Tenacious. Doesnt try to be fancy on the ball as he knows hes aint the most creative and clever enough for dirty fouls to stop the counters

    Can't stand any of them.
They're saying how bad we are when we go a goal down, then how magnificently we turned it around.
Most commentary teams are painful, but BT are the worst of the lot, imo. They're so busy talking about something else or promoting their upcoming programmes they miss half of what's going on on the pitch.
I don't know why they need one "expert" opinion, never mind two. I don't need to be told what to think when watching a football match.

What I can't understand is that they spent so much money to acquire the rights. But then skimp on the commentators lol.

In fairness Michael Owen and Steve McManaman were fair maybe because of Liverpool's connection. At a stage Harry
    Redknapp changed his opinion too.

Coutinho passed to Firmino in the Chelsea game more times than any other striker in the past 4 games.

I think ties back in with my point that I don't think Coutinho trusts the players around him.

Also, watched the game again and initially thought Lallana was anonymous but it was a tidy performance. Can see some tweaks to his game - he's no longer making those pointless turns and he's taking less touches.

And he pressed hard. Made the highest number of pressing actions against Chelsea.

If you play to an acceptable standard, you'll be acknowledged. The players know I have high standards...
