The ones that turn up our page seem to nearly all be idiots like this Jack and Andy, the only time recently I've seen decent posts were from the Belgian fans last year

 

I disagree with Tuckin & Bojack, i have no problem with non City fans posting on here. Makes it a better board than just the same guff you get on Amber Nectar (other City forums are available).

I like the fact you can interact with fans of other teams.

Take their opinions with a pinch of salt.

 

Notice Chezzy took no part again yesterday apart from being an unused sub again.
From a footballing point of view, I wonder if he is now wishing he had stopped with us.

 

Would he have got in the current side? I suppose at a push as one of the centre backs but that would be very harsh on Alex as he's done absolutely nothing wrong.

 

Had Chester stayed he would have been in instead of Davies and we'd have sold Maguire to Bristol City when they bid.

I agree it would have been harsh on Alex, but until a couple of weeks ago he hadn't started a match as far as I can remember. So it's arguable that Davies would not have got in the side.
I think he would as he was one of the steadiest players for us last season and probably one of first names on the team sheet. I can see no reason why Bruce would have altered his opinion of him and he would have continued to be one of the first selections imo.

 

You're probably more or less right, although the I'm not sure Bruce would have allowed Maguire to go to Bristol City, not for £2.5M anyway. Chezzy probably would have got a start in front of Davies or Bruce, however I'm not sure that we would have had such great defensive figures right now, and that's a bit weird because previously I would have rated Chezzy way above either of those two. Perhaps it just emphasises even more how much of a positive effect Michael Dawson is having!

 

Too true. We'll struggle to keep him in January, you just know one of the bottom 3 will be after him. He'd be mad to go of course, but money talks. I mean it can't sing and dance and it can't walk. But you know.
