    Hello reds

The current period under Klopp is a chance for our squad to prove to him that they have what it takes to succeed in a team playing to his tactics.

Naturally, he will be assessing them and identifying who starts, who's good for the squad, who needs to go and which position needs strengthening.

With the above in mind; the following is our current squad with my opinions attached to them.

GK: Mignolet - should be sold asap. Get a quality keeper and Bogdan as cover.
GK: Bogdan - as above, good cover.
    GK: Fulton - remains.

LB: Jose Enrique - I do like him but I think it may be time to sell.
LB: Joe Gomez - versatile, keep. Looks a good player.
LB: Moreno - very raw but worth exploring how good he can get.
CB: K Toure - get the feeling he is important to the dressing room. Keep for now.
CB: Lovren - bite the bullet, sell him.
CB: Sakho - very surprised by his performances thus far. Keep.
CB: Skrtel - keep for now but look for long term replacement. Is a player who needs games to perform at his best so I don't think he can be kept as a squad player.
    CB: Cleary - unproven, keep.
RB: Clyne - we've bought a proper player here! Keep.
RB: Flanno - not convinced he will be favoured by Klopp. Deserves a chance to prove himself.
    RB: Randall - unproven, keep.

LM: Lallana - slowly improving. His fitness is a concern to me though. Keep.
AM: Coutinho - slowly growing on me. Getting better. Obviously keep.
    AM: Brannagan - unproven, keep.
AM: Firmino - a little excited by his performances under Klopp so far! Keep.
CM: Henderson - good player. Have a feeling he may have to prove himself to Klopp, Keep.
CM: Lucas - playing well. Part of me says sell but I think we should keep for the time being.
CM: Can - potential is there and hopefully Klopp will realise that - keep.
CM: Allen - definitely sell. Had his chance and never does it. We need better players.
CM: Teixeira - keep, definite potential.
    CM: Chirivella - unproven, keep.
    CM: Rossiter - unproven, keep.
RM: Ibe - great potential, keep.
RM: Milner - not been performing so far but I think we should keep. Experienced.

CF: Benteke - I am really not sold but he has scored a few now. Lets see. Keep.
CF: Sturridge - cannot be relied on. Bonus player now - albeit a very good one. Keep.
CF: Ings - keep. Started very well and I hope he can turn into a good player for us.
CF: Origi - really not convinced. Keep for a bit.
    CF: Sinclair - unproven, keep.

Based on the above Mignolet, Lovren, Enrique and Allen should be sold.

Buy in order of importance - striker, centre back, goal keeper.

    What do you guys think?

LB: Jose Enrique - Not going to get game time and worth a bit of money Sell.
LB: Joe Gomez - versatile, keep. Looks a good player.
LB: Moreno - very raw but worth exploring how good he can get.
CB: K Toure - Too old Sell
CB: Lovren - See if he can step up under Klopp keep
CB: Sakho - Going to be brilliant Keep.

    @luvgonzo

I don't think Mignolet will ever be good enough.

He is decent but is he really what we need to become a quality team?

    Look at our rivals:

    United - De Gea
City - Hart (shocker yesterday but excellent normally)
    Chelsea - Coutois
    Arsenal - Cech
    Spurs - Lloris

All the above are top quality and a lot better than Simon who a good shot stopper but not more than that.

GK is so important as it effects the confidence of the back 4.

    Mignolet will always be wobbly.

    Sell Sturridge?

    Bit early don't you think?

Still could be very useful for us.

    Benteke and a quality striker.

Back up - Ings and Sturridge.

Not bad, providing we go and get a quality, dynamic forward.

Mignolet made another world class v difficult save for that attempted lob yesterday ... would've gone in over most keepers. Our financial resources would be better used in other areas right now, but I think long-term we do need a true world class keeper. Mignolet isn't quite world class although the stopping element of his game deffo is. Perhaps with the correct coaching and the right attitude from the player the weaker areas of his game can be made to be world class.

I agree there are elements of his game which are very good, but I also agree long term we should get a true world class keeper.

Not getting Cech was a huge mistake. Should have gone all out for him and that would be position dealt with for 5 years adding real quality and experience to the team.

Reina is doing nothing on the bench at Munich...

That could backfire - but you never know.

When was the last time you saw him on the pitch in back to back games ??

As it stands we can still make good money on him as some team somewhere will pay top dollar for the skill he undoubtedly possesses and take a chance with his fitness. Think we've learned from experience now that the latter totally jeopardises and nullifies the former. I have big Q marks over Sturridge really, attitude and his physical weakness, he annoys me.

We should cash in whilst we can and get the funds to buy an upgrade up front to work with Bentbeak - who should be the main man as he scores goals and performs even when not 'fully fit' like yesterday - and also help fund upgrades in other areas of the squad.

Not sure why the Mig bashing. Haven't seen him have a bad game or make any errors this year.

Yes he's not a star but put him behind a stable back 4 and you'll see him get more confident.

Bogdan an surprised me against Bournemouth, was solid so def keep.

Enrique needs to go, big fan but far too injury prone.
Kolo, not sure, he's a happy guy and probably good for morale but will he play enough? I'd maybe look to try shift and use Ilori as cover.
Skrtel I'd keep but look to get a replacement and has him as cover.
Lovren, if doesn't one prove should be shifted.

Not overly fussed about midfield but think we need a solid player good on the ball who can. If we get someone then possibly move Allen on.

rest is keep at least this year.

Nah. Klopp could work with him, he's the sort of guy who can work with any player I think. No drama.

Cech wanted to stay in London, were never going to get him.

    Reina na is at Napoli.

Migs improvement from from start of last year has been big and he's still only 26/27?

Handling ia good, actually coming and punching crosses now and kicking has improved a lot.

I don't think we would get more than £10 mill for him thought with his fitness problems.

I think we're better off keeping.

Granted he is injured - but he is also proven to score loads of goals for us - and not long ago.

I think we should show some loyalty and give him a chance.

Sturridge out ... seriously whats the point in him being at the club. We should have had alarm bells ringing when Man City and then Chelsea let him go.

Enrique, Lovren, Allen, Origi and Toure out aswell.

Then add a quality player or two each window to the squad.

Of the loan players... Balotelli, Wisdom and Illori out.

If we're gonna buy A.N. Other guy to back up Bentbeak and have Ings and Sturridge behind them then fair enough. What do we do with Origi then, other than bash him <laugh>

Absolutely fella. None of his other clubs fancied him, big clubs who know a player. We were a bit desperate at that point due to various club failures and instabilities and he was best we could get. Under Klopp we should be looking to establish stability, order and balance and get rid of desperation !!

Its early days for Origi but I must admit I have not seen anything in him yet.

    Might change but we'll see.
