Your taking ot out of context pal.

Moyes team were long established at that time, current champions and played like Fergie was still the manager. At this point Moyes still had my backing (go check, you may remember the infamous #worried thread).

Van Gaals is new. United the club had a year out of Europe but this particular group is playing in Europe for the first time.

Moyes didn't just go downhill from this point, he collapsed. If van Gaal does that, he will have to go.

I dont think he will though, for one, we are to solid to have a collapse. I dont see us getting spanked game after game.

If we do, I will be joining you <ok>

If we collapse having spent all that money on new recruits then he needs shooting not sacking. As it is, it's astonishing that a squad packed with so many expensive, talented players can look so devoid of a cutting edge in attack. The tactics and selections are suffocating the team's creativity.

I wasn't here when you did your Worried thread so I'll take your word for it pal.

Nevertheless, his record so far is still no worse than Van Gaal's. All it shows is 2 years later we haven't made much progress. Perhaps we could have done equally as well had he been given the same time and resources.

We may not get spanked game after game, but by the same logic and fortune-telling we won't be winning many either.

You'll never be joining me because you have no idea what I stand for <ok>

Ignore the money. He's also recuperated half of it back but it doesn't matter.

He's certainly building a quality squad. Say what you want about him but he sure knows how to assemble players.

As I said above, half our attacking unit is out of form. Add to that Herrera having a made today, Mata not being at his best and Martial being ganged up on because Rojo/Blind are unlikely to overlap and you can see why we are not banging in 5 goals a game with 40 attempts.

I started posting around March time, when the 5hit was really hitting the fan!

You're dangerously close to going down the net spend route.

Give me £250m and the United brand and I reckon I could pull together a talented squad. I doubt many people are impressed with how he's pulled the squad together. The fact we're so light in the striker department is ridiculous.

I once believed in him. Until about November time, I didnt hide it either. Moyes out became my SIG but I did once have hope.

Where people say van Gaal is coaching them to play slowly, Moyes wasn't coaching them, what the hell was he doing? Nobody knows.

Which is why its irrelevant. Spending, selling. In this case it is of very little importance.

Unlike Chelsea and City who spent for the sake of it, we are spending because we have to. We had to change the team from top to bottom. Once the team is settled we will recent to one or two additions a year, most seasons but right now we dont have that luxury.

Next summer we may go and buy 3 attacker, two reserve full backs and another midfielder (think Carrick's done). Not for the sake of buying but because it's needed.

The net spend argument is complete bollocks though.

Really? The RS and the chavs (and United themselves ) have shown that just spending money does not guarantee a winning team. <ok>

Sorry, regarding the striker bit. We have 3 strikers, 2 wingers, 4 am. So 9 players for 4 roles. Three strikers is fine, its the norm these days. Our problem is who they are.

Rooney - form has gone. Will he get it back? Not so sure anymore.

Wilson - lots of promise but he's not going to be the main man

Martial - brilliant player, will see us have a successful future.

If all our attacking players were in form, we would be flying. Currently one striker is but as he's young and quick, he's put out left because our normal left wingers are playing ****e themselves. Wilson got himself injured too the other night.

Van gaal can only try and help the players find form. Keep showing faith on Rooney (he's done more for this club than any player there today, dropping Depay or Herrera is easier than Rooney, its wrong but all managers would do it.... We've seen it under 3). Delay is at an age where he can be dropped for a few games. LvG did it with Herrera last season and we all were baffled as to why. He returned a better player.

Look, of Rooney suddenly hit form and Repay suddenly found the ability to make the right decision, our attack would look very different. Will it? I've no idea but he did it elsewhere, through training and replacing the deadwood. I believe he will with the attack.

That's true enough. £1bilkion is the way to guarantee success, even if Mancini is manager <ok>

Wages not taken into account. Otherwise its more like £8billion

We're basically playing without a striker as one is undroppable, one is unpickable and the other, the best of them, is playing on the left wing. Epic management.

We don't have a winning team and I didn't say I could pull together a winning team. I said a talented squad which is what UIR has praised LVG for pulling together. Give me £250m and the United brand (don't underestimate the latter) plus massive wages and I'll give you a talented squad. They may end up playing dreary, negative football but they'll still be a talented group.
