Got to question ruddy keeping his place soon. His errors have cost us a few points this season already and he is now so suspect at crosses. What happened to the bloke who dominated his area and was called up for his country. So so disappointing that another set piece concession and goalkeeping error are going to cause us to lose.

Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing Rudd have a few games, he looked good for us in the cup games.

Well, we almost pulled the rabbit out of the hat there, but travesty at the end and dithering from Ruddy - what was he thinking chasing that ball and not twatting it? The whole defence just froze as a result. Martin straight red means another reshuffle at the back...

 

Well I have to say I feel much more positive after watching that. Who on here would have expected us to be anywhere near getting points at ManCity? The last time we were there we lost 7-0 ffs! It was a great performance with a formation that bodes well for future games away against top sides. Yes, Ruddy made a mistake, but we wouldn't have equalized if Hart had not done the same. Keepers do make mistakes, like everybody else.

 

It wasn't a disaster as I thought was going to be. I just thought if a team like Newcastle could get 6 passed us then Man City would hammer us. Glad I was wrong and it was a positive game for us even with that loss. GK do make mistakes and I don't like getting on their backs about it or point fingers and looking for an escape goat, but I'd still like to see Rudd given a chance, competition for that position will make them both better players.

 

i cant help being disapointed after getting back to 1-1,but in truth i was expecting a bit of a stuffing today.reluctently agree about ruddy,he looks poor at the moment. give rudd a go. the fact is we MUST strengthen at the back in january ,no matter the combination,we always look fragile
