  1. I think this is a weird game. Losing wouldn't be a disaster since (at the moment) its a 'anything is a bonus' game. However, it's also a 'win to make a statement' in terms of the race for top four.

To beat Chelsea these days doesn't require a miracle <ok>

I think he'll want at least a point from this game.

After the huge build up given to him and the expectations on him to take the club to the CL , Klopp will want to do well in his first big match.

Yes he's instilled new enthusiasm amongst the players who are now running more during the game and doing more miles, pressing more but it is probably too early to see his own style.

The Chelsea team is in disarray. And I think this is a great opportunity for him to show what he can do and why he is better than Rodgers.

I think we should win it. 1-2

They have been playing better last few weeks by all accounts and did beat Arsenal 2-0 so it's no where near a forgone conclusion this game.

Sometinws when hen you're in a bit of bad form a big game against some rivals is just what you need to get everyone back on form.

I'd take a draw if someone offered it to me now

“I think it’s the right time to go there, because they are under pressure to be fair,” the Belgian told Liverpoolfc.com before the trip to London.

“They have to win, we have to win. So it’s going to be a good game and hopefully we can come back to Liverpool with the three points.

“With the type of game we play now, with the high pressing, we have a chance to put them under pressure. Then let’s see what’s going to happen.”

The summer signing has scored at Stamford Bridge before, notching for former club Aston Villa during a 2-1 defeat there in August 2013.

Now he’s determined to repeat the trick with the Reds and make his mark on the type of occasion he was anticipating upon arriving at the club.

“That’s why I signed for Liverpool – to play in a big fixture against a big team,” Benteke added.

“Everyone wants to do well. We just need to play like we have, to press and try to get the ball as soon as possible.

“When you see Chelsea struggling and losing so many games, it’s the first time you have seen it – especially with [Jose] Mourinho. They have had a bad time and hopefully they will have a bad time on Saturday and we can win.”

Whether Chelsea are currently playing ****e or not will have a very small outcome on this game imho. It's Chelsea vs Liverpool - a massive game, so I'm sure Chelsea will up their game.

I don't see form having much baring on the outcome if I'm honest. If any.

I guess I'm just not confident playing a team that has world class potential (in comparison to ours!!).

Anyway it's blatantly going to be 1-1 anyway <whistle>

Team news: Firmino starts at Stamford Bridge
Roberto Firmino leads the Liverpool attack for this afternoon's Barclays Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
After a bright display during the midweek victory over Bournemouth, the Brazilian retains his place in Jürgen Klopp’s side.
That is the only change from the line-up that started against Southampton in the league last weekend.
Liverpool team: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Milner, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino.
Substitutes: Bogdan, Lovren, Randall, Allen, Teixeira, Ibe, Benteke

Need Coutinho to have a good game today, Firmino will make the runs we need to support him.

My only concern with Firmino is that he hasn't played up top since he's been here and even though he had a good game the other day, it's going to be tough for him.

With Mikel in there though it gives us hope of getting at the back 4 he's too static, get the movement right and there's joy to be had in the middle.

I think he's fit enough and mobile enough to be the catalyst of a fast start, if 0-0 at half time If add Benteke and remove one of the attackers.
