Chelsea's Asia tour went public on Tuesday as the players first met a couple of hundred of our Malaysian supporters and then went about their work in front of many thousands more. The latter event came in the evening and was the first chance for the squad to familiarise themselves with the national stadium, all that is apart from John Terry and Frank Lampard who played in it back in 2003 in a pre-season tournament shortly after Roman Abramovich had taken ownership. The Bukit Jalil Stadium is the venue for this Thursday's game and thousands of the fans who will be in attendance on that day also came along to watch Tuesday's second training session and make their voices heard. It was hard to call who received the loudest ovation when the players first emerged from the tunnel - Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres or Lampard, but every goal then after was greeted noise, the best with gasps and towards the end one lone vuvuzela could be heard above it all. please log in to view this image Training remains confined to pitches half the length of a full size one, with on Tuesday exercises to work the full width of the area available when attacking. The temperature, even after dark, necessitated some long breaks to take on water. Earlier in the day a large number of Malaysian Chelsea fans were left with smiles on their faces and a multitude of names on shirts and pictures when the squad and coaching staff took part in a signing session in their Kuala Lumpur hotel. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image 'Your heart beats really fast when you see them and they smile at you,' said one fan called Aria having collected all the autographs she wanted. 'I am so happy. I wanted to get Lampard's and Torres's signatures the most, and I was really excited when I did. please log in to view this image 'I was hoping for Fernando Torres's autograph but I wanted to see the others as well,' said another fan, Nathan. 'I never expected that I would meet them that close up, I was really, really shocked. Fook me you didn't think I'm that articulate to write that sort of **** did ya I did but a tag under the photo to show where it came from
chelsea were lucky... that did NOT go in. Was quite impressed with the Malaysian team though (especially since this was the mostly the youth team with a few players that arent in the national team any more). However im only this excited because im Malaysian, and this match was hardly anything to go by to judge players.
