wow.. Luongo close... bar - queuing up to get involved in the final third... still looking unsteady at the back too many offsides
Judge chance - far too much space - straight up the other end... Great effort by Luongo... off the post knocking on the door
Seem to remember Luongo has had numerous chances when he plays... only a matter of time before he starts to knock them in like he did for Swindon future looking good there - good ending to the half
If you want to win a derby first you need to win the war. Are someone really expecing us to roll them over playing tiki taka after what we experienced at Fulham? Give the lads and Ramsey the respect they deserve, well executed game plan in the first half. Lots of ground covered in the first 45, the best I've seen from us this season. We are starting to resemble a team.
Awful first 30, but then we actually started passing the ball to our own players. Should be 2 up. 3 points on the way back to London!
First 30 minutes Brentford were the better of the two. Rangers have pressed well, high up the pitch. Apart from one mis-placed pass, Henry has been very good. Toszer looks a good passer. Phillips has done well. Excellent last 10 minutes of the half and Luongo so unlucky to hit the woodwork twice!! JET poor for the first 30 minutes but much better after that. Hall looks a very good CB!! All to play for. Typical Championship fayre.
A half of three thirds. First part frantic from both. Second was all them and I thought we couldn't match that pace. Last part, we did play at pace and it was hugely entertaining. Worried about second yellows but there's a chance for the bench to make an impact. Can see why the likes of Austin and Faurlin were protected from that opening though.
OK first half, pressed more in the last 10 and unlucky not to be 1 up. However the defence look like they are colour blind, either passing to Brentford or hoofing up field to no one. Henry not in the game apart from passing backwards, no tackles made form what I have seen, need Ale on to pick the passing behind the defenders and feed both Charlie and JET.
Tommy Smith comes across as a pretty intelligent sort of chap, as indeed he did on the pitch. Will always remember him for his winner at Goodison.
Sky half-time show on - Jamie Mackie is on again, this time joined by ex-R, Tommy Smith, who is actually quite good.
What's impresses me most about Tozser is his awareness and eye for a pass. He knows where to pass before he recieves it, something which is above Championship level imo. Agree about Henry, done well so far. Problem for Faurlin is I don't think he'll fit well with Tozser and imo Tozser needs to play.
Terrible passing from Clint and Konch. We gave the ball away far too much, but the last 15 did better. Cheri looks shot for confidence, so I'm hoping Austin is fit enough to come on soon for him, with JET taking Cheri''s place.
