David Gill has already been tempted away from Manchester United.

There's been lots of talk for a good 3 years about their relationship - - which game was it he was their guest and went into our dressing room pre and post match? - and these leading comments from Ehab really do hint at it so it would be no surprise. Indeed it would be a surprise if it wasnt him.

Still, would be nice to have Carly back <whistle>

Edit - scrap that, just googled her - she's married, looks like has a couple of sprogs and generally looks much ****ter. What a shame. Pass.

I don't think it's shared out among the next three relegated clubs. Maybe Dave Richards and/or Richard Scudamore don't want you asking questions like that.

Why would they want Duffen after he proved he was useless at being a Chairman?

I think unclaimed parachute payments go into the solidarity payment pot and are distributed through the lower leagues.

We'll continue to claim it and hope the DSS doesn't find out about our change of circumstances.

That's kind of nice. We go up and Shrewsbury get a new set of ****house doors. Win win.

Thinking about it, was it not Shrewsbury (old ground, not the new one) who's mens toilet was a wall with a gutter under it that just fed into the river?

He was better at it than our current chairman.

Just found an article that claims that the Football League distribute any unclaimed parachute payments equally between Championship clubs, other than those who are already receiving their own parachute payments.

Both got us promoted once, both kept us there for 2 years yet Duffen did it with £40m less debt and in the process didnt piss off huge swathes of the fanbase, local amateur sports clubs and the owners of the stadium in which we play all of which could potentially disengage our entire future fanbase on which the club relies..

Weren't we almost bankrupt when we came back down though? When the other one took over.

Again the Allams took over the debt Duffen ran up it didn't magically disappear, which was in surplus of £40m. We've come down with a debt of £72m, a higher quality and more valuable and saleable playing squad, better training facilities and an incomparably better academy.

So Allam managed a lot more with less.

There's a reason the name "Paul Duffen" instills a sense of dread around our fans.
