Yeah lad, destroying defences across Europe with his awesome stats of 1 goal and no assists in 13 appearances that season.

    What complete bobbins.

Lol you love measuring players based on output.

Which season are you referring to by the way?

Because if he passes it to Benteke he will just boot it out for a throw?

And I take it you didn't actually watch his performances? Taking on defenders and creating chances?

But of course, he didn't score goals or get assists so disregard his actual performance throughout the game. Henderson got more assists than Iniesta last season so that must mean he's a better player?

If only football was that simple ... Then you'd be quite knowledgable.

Seriously Tobes, why do you even bother commenting? You clearly don't watch football outside this country and base your opinions on stats from Wikipedia.

Then what will Benteke do with it? Hold it up and wait for runners that aren't there, then lose it?

We all know that Coutinho likes to play with players who move ahead of him. Benteke is not that type - he could be, but there is little evidence that he is.

The point I was making that is that don't expect to see the best out of Coutinho just because we have Benteke back. He still needs better players ahead of him. I do believe Firmino will help though.

Output is the only thing that ultimately matters and is a fair yardstick when measuring attacking players like.....

The season he played in Europe for Benfica....

It's not a fair yard stick though is it. Firmino created two great chances for Benteke and Coutinho but both fluffed it. So instead of getting two assists to his name, he has none.

And Benteke has scored 3 goals for us. That doesn't mean he's played that well for us though is it?

His stats are ****e and his peformances whenever I've seen him have been ****e. Is that enough for you? There's my critique, based on both statistics and my own ****ing eyes.

I've told you before lad, I've forgotten more than you know.

You're a jarg internet Balague, talking utter bobbins about players and tactics, when you've patently never played the game or watched it in the flesh in your entire ****ing life.

Even your own fellow reds think you talk absolute bollocks most of the time, but you carry on pontificating as if you're on some higher level in terms of your understanding of the game and post patronising nonsense when challenged about your latest pap theory or player opinion. You're an absolute beaut Jimmy .

Which performances? Oh yeah the ones when he played for Liverpool ... out of position.

Someone's wound up this morning ...

And we as a nation wonder why our country is poor at a national level when we have such Neanderthal thinking.

'Oh he scored a goal so he must be good.'

'He was rubbish for 89 mins but he got an assist so he must be good.'

It will be interesting how it all develops then. As it stands the argument is that both benteke and coutinho are quite limited in how they can be used effectively. If neither can adapt which will eventually make way?

I mean if Benteke stays fit and continues scoring goals like he has but they aren't being supplied by Coutinho and Coutinho continues to be ineffective himself in matches......?

That's a good point. I suppose it comes down to who is better for the team in terms of style, potential, ability etc.

For me, Coutinho is better suited to the style we want to play in the long run so we should be signing players who fit that long term philosophy.

Benteke showed in his first few games before getting injured that his movement is good. He was making good runs behind the defence and getting into decent positions.

If Coutinho plays the ball into Benteke he has more chance of getting it back than putting into Origi because Benteke will hold it up if he ha Shia back to goal and be able to find a team mate with a pass.

Youre hell bent on not entering into the idea that Benteke is more than just a big lump who heads the ball.

I strongly disagree - I think Benteke certainly showed some encouraging signs but the choosing and timing of his runs was poor.

Benteke is definitely a better option than Origi but not Sturridge.

Has Benteke proven he is more than just a lump? He scored a belter against United but he's missed some sitters as wel. All of his goals have come from crosses as well.

On the Moreno stuff...yet more signs of character weakness in some of our squad.

Lets accept the argument that he should have been playing more. That manager has gone, youve been picked by the new guy, played reasonably well in a couple of games (not exceptional by any means), in average team performances and you get cocky enough to start publicly criticising the last guy for dropping you????!

Yet another example of a player who is better in his head than with his feet.

All this outburst does is tell Klopp he's got a huffy ponce on his hands that will silently strop if he gets dropped and bitch when your back is turned.

Just play bloody well and let your performance be your response to Rodgers!

To be fair, he got a lot of stick so he's entitled to let people know of his frustrations.

Reina, Carroll, Downing, Sahin, Sakho, Moreno all spoke out about Rodgers. Anymore?

My main point there is we have a load of players that start talking way too soon. I know they have a PR job but our lot seemed to play a better game in an interview than they do on the pitch.

Shut up until you have really done something worth talking about!

I think that's fair enough but using Klopp as example, players and the media had nothing but nice things to say about him.

Rodgers on the other hand ...

Dont mind those that left bitching as they are irrelevant..more so now that Rodgers is gone. But no I dont think he is entitled to publicly express his frustrations because he hasn't done anything special on the pitch. Neither had Sakho. As I said let your performances do the talking and save the behind the scenes stuff for your autobiography.

True but its the old addage that there are always unhappy players in the dressing room. They never speak when winning and aren't listened to if the manager is successful even if the manager is in error. (Fergie)..start losing though.....

Rodgers paid for poor performances on the pitch with his job while these guys hide behind their despite pretty **** individual displays during that time. If I were them I'd wait until I put a great season in before throwing stones.
