Why don't we play a diamond 442.. back 4 the usually suspects, Jack in holding role gini and moussa wide with semi in no 10 role with ayoze and mitro up top ?... New to this so be gentle !!!

Personally I don't think we have the defenders to cope with such an attacking formation, nor do I think we have the holding midfielder good enough to a) protect the defence or b) support the attack - for this we need someone who is a mixture of Anita, Colback and Tiote. If we play 2 up front then we have to go with two centre mids. My opinion and am sure someone will be along that agrees with you or can argue why your formation would work!

Well it's a fairly significant issue mate

 

Think he was suggesting that we could and should have been using that formation - could easily replace Colback with Tiote/Anita etc for these next few weeks - one player doesn't make a formation!

For me we would get mullered with that formation - Ayoze does so much as it is without having to do extra to cover De Jong! If we play De Jong it should be in a secondary striker position!

We don't have defenders to cope with most formations so why don't we just go for it and give it a try

 

Not a fan im old school like 4 4 2 especially in difficult circumstances it's tried and trusted.

We need to buy some - as for fitting those three in, we don't have the defensive qualities to do so!

 

Semi i find it difficult to get one

 

I just don't think we are a good enough side to leave the siem ( half hard )dutchman out of the side or for that fact a certain Aarons. Our defence is so poor, but by playing other poor midfielders (tiote eg) we don't help ourselves.. recent performances have improved and I'm sort of enjoying us again, but points win prizes

Welcome! The balance of our squad in midfield is the problem. They supposedly a defennsive midfielder or the rest of them think they are a number 10.

 

That's just one of the problems.. but I think midfield could/should be our strong point, god knows it's not defence

 

Its a long time since we have been anywhere near one.

 

I don't think they will let you put twelve players on the field
