So do I but not in terms of football. I think Hull people are historically apathetic, it's almost ingrained in us not to get excited or be impressed by anything.
Terry Neill's first away game at Swindon. Waiting outside King Edward 11pm Friday night for our coach . Gets to 11.30pm. A fan, who sadly passed away last month, turned to his mate and asked him what time he had asked the coach to pick us up. Mate says he thought he was arranging it. Mate and 3 of us set off to hitch hike. Me and the lad with me got lucky with lifts and arrived in Swindon before lunch time courtesy of a hell's Angel type with a very rickety sidecar with a sheet of plywood as a floor who had picked us up at Wooton Bassett. The other two made it into Swindon's social club about 15 minutes before kick off. We got a lift back on the only coach there which had empty seats to spare along with someone from the forces who had stopped off at the game on his way home. So less than 50 fans there but only a couple of weeks earlier there had been 34,000 against Man Utd in Watney Cup.
Without a doubt John. With Snodgrass and Diomande to come as well. Our squad is by far the best championship squad. They just have to keep showing it now. Well done to Steve Bruce on his squad retention / re-build. No need to fear January at all and so easy to NO when any offers arrive.
