    A precursor to a permanent switch I think. As you may have guessed I'm not a massive fan of Willo.
    It does leave us short of cover though so hopefully a recall option will have been inserted into the agreement in some for or other.

    Newcastle defender Mike Williamson is poised to join Championship outfit Wolves on a one-month loan deal.

    Williamson has struggled for action at St James' Park this season when making just two appearances for the Magpies, and is keen to play regular football elsewhere.

    Wolves are on the look out for a new central defender after losing Kortney Hause for up to six weeks after he was stretchered off at the weekend, and Williamson would be the ideal replacement.

    Williamson still has to finalise terms but the deal could go through in the next 24 hours, which would make him available for Wolves when they take on Birmingham City this weekend.

    Thank him for his efforts but the first step forward. Now we need to get a partner for Mbemba, get a first choice left back and we can move on from the 5 yr old problem of Willo/Colo/Saylor/Haidara/Dummett - the latter two less so

    Mbmemba to break a leg - Colocini to get banned for smacking a 10 year old mascot in the face - Lacelles to rip a tendon.

    I can imagine when Matip and Mbemba **** off for the ACON.

    Colo is left with young Lascelles and decides to pull his hammy or get sent off when it all gets too much. Just saying...

    So many negatives...... think of ACS's mustard chinos around his ankles and JPF..........

    Only NUFC can be linked with a top drawer defender and we get whingey ****ers complaining over it! And Jesus wept!

    Williamson was so far past his sell by date ..even as 4th backup defender..He had gone putrid

    Wolves/championship will suit him ..hopefully permanent buy / recall clauses in the deal too.

    To be fair to him ...always gave his lot ..just hindered by his lot not being very ...lot-y

    Graham Carr was out in Germany last week. We are pursuing Matip. Also have it from a club source that we are going after Austin in January as McClaren wants him. A deal is dependent on us getting rid of Cisse. We have also been watching a left back in the Belgian League and have put feelers out over Valdez on free transfer. We are not planning to sell any of our first teamers.

    Valdes is keen. He wants first team football. We are after a replacement for Krul for the season.McClaren doesn't rate Elliott but thinks Woodman isn't ready. He wants an experienced keeper.
