The rugby doesn't make that much difference and our massive untapped catchment area more than makes up for it

If we suddenly had lots of ticket offers the season pass holders would kick up a stink

    Give over.

Firstly, a lot of City fans also follow one of the RL clubs. Secondly, the RL season is over & thirdly, 20K for the RL? They struggle to get that for the derby.

I don't blame Allam for everything, but putting prices up that much that the ground iss empty is deffo his fault.

We've pretty much always had **** support. Even the supposed golden age in the 60's we had an average of 22 and 24 thousand in 66 and 67 this dropped to 15 the next season.

The only way to fill a stadium is to make the season passes cheaper! Then fans can spread the cost if needed! As it is the casual supporter can pick & choose which game to attend & still know they'll get in! We also have the cost of Xmas! Some supporters will give the game a miss even if there's an offer on if they've got limited funds at Xmas? Cheaper passes at the beginning would fill the stadium! The club has to price it right so it's a no brainer for the fans to get one.

What has the home crowds for rugby league got to do with City's away followings? Especially at a time when the rugby league season has ended. Leicester Tigers get more than FC and Rovers combined and they play in competition with them throughout the season. Yet Leicester City get more home and away than us. Hull has a slightly lower city population but a larger urban one and far more people for who we are the nearest club. And, Leicesterhave far more of its population from cultures and backgrounds with no interest in football, or rugby for that matter.

They have more people prepared to spend their spare money on following their football club than we have?

They are more passionate about it. Of course a fair few cant afford it but a lot of people who dont go anymore simply cant be arsed with it and for many who do go to watch, it has become a chore.

That highlighted bit sums my feelings perfectly, it is a chore nowadays, for me there's not a lot of joy in it .......... I went to watch my g'kids dance in Blackpool rather than go to the Forest game, if you'd told me that I'd miss games cos' of kids dancing on the night of the 4-2 at Hillsborough I'd have laughed my head off.

    Yep.
Agreed but why? Is it historical?
Agree but its the same for other teams. We've all fallen out of love with it, diving players, made to sit etc etc

    I think it's entirely historical.
