He is that. Most are them are. A couple of new signings aside. Total football with Colback in the team. No wonder they can't open up opponents. I reckon they're a Wij injury from going down.
I dunno, they've got some elements of good players. I really rate their summer signings, not sure how Thauvin will come along in this league but he's a confidence player so not suited to a relegation scrap. I presume they thought they'd be top half and see the best of him. Wijnaldum is immense though, signing of the summer for me, they'll get £35m for him the way he's playing (sad innit, talking about players like they're just pound coins). They've got some poor players as well though, no left backs, 'keepers are ****... not sure about that young lad they rate but he's obviously not that good in goals if he's not getting a game ahead of Elliot. Cisse, Tiote, Coloccini... I'd get rid of all of them in January if I was McClaren and replace them with Austin, Fer and McNair (on loan) and fetch in Valdes from us to solve their 'keeper crisis. Any less than that and I say they're a dip in confidence away from the drop.
Defence is ****e, no depth out wide. Lots of playing central players on flanks. They spent 50 million and didn't really address their problems adequately. We didn't either but we didn't spend 50m not addressing the problems adequate. Both teams have picked up good signings but i said at the close of the window both fell short of what's required and we can only expect a relegation battle. Quarter into the season and both sides are right where I thought. Struggling. I Wonder? The Newcastle board give Schteeve a target of 8th or above and to win a cup competition. Will they blame themselves or will they blame Schteeve when they blatantly get nowhere near? I mean if ever there was a poor assessment of a squad, the Mag board showed it with their season target
Depends how they get on in January mate, I'd expect them to have their business done by at the latest the 10th January if they're still in trouble, they should have identified and secured targets by now, anything less is stupid business. Can't see them finishing near 8th but they're remind me a bit of Leicester from last season, they're not playing too bad. Discipline seems to be their main issue after players, they're the worst in the league so I read this week.
cisse is a nonce. a grade A ****a. he refused to wear their new shirt with wonga on it due to religious conflict. got photographed at a casino. religious ruse is up. decided to wear the strip. still celebrates by praising his god.
