Agreed. It would have been morally wrong to totally rip the record breaking squad of last year apart just for the sake of it, and truth be known we ain't a bad footballing side to watch compared to under other regimes. But we need to sort out both ends of the pitch and stop conceding silly goals, whilst being more clinical at the other end.
Anyone wanting SC removed from his post wants horse whipping....or maybe horse punching <laugh>

He's the best we've had since the 1970's

I have little idea of how the finances work at the Gate with all the various stakeholders i.e. Bristol Sport, Bristol Rugby and BCFC. What I do know is it is players that win games and collect the points. The facts are that usually the best players cost and want the most money. Clearly the last expedition into seeking the "Holy Grail" cost SL a bomb. This time around he is being a bit more responsible but at the end of the day it is a business and SL will make whatever decisions he decides are the best for his money

Fair enough, but if it was rational thought, (as opposed to sheer desperation) that led to the astonishingly overpriced bid for Gray, then it could have been one of the most expensive mistakes on our history.

I have to say we did not make a bid for Gray we only met the asking price. The facts are that strikers get goals which win games and therefore they cost more than defenders. We can all argue whether the valuation is correct (law of the market place) or not but clearly SC realises that if you are to get a ready made finished article striker it costs real money. The correctness of any decision to buy can only be measured in hindsight. Having said I think we all agree that Kodjia appears to represent VFM so perhaps the overseas market is the way forward. My real disappointment is that we don't appear to be developing much home grown talent

But didn't we have several bids turned down for him till we went in with the figure that Brenford finally accepted? Plus Hull and Burnley didn't think he was overpriced as they both prepared to pay.
